After 54 years we returned to The Yankee Clipper Inn. It was just as beautiful as we remembered it - even better. We spent 3 days relaxing and enjoying the wonderful views. By far the best ocean views in Rockport,. Our room (Golden State) was outstanding in every respect. We had a wonderful FULL breakfast each morning with so many choices. Mike and the staff were so attentive and friendly. If you want a relaxing,low key getaway in a beautiful setting then I highly recommend The Yankee Clipper Inn Rockport, Mass. It is the Best of the Best.We can't wait to go back.

It seems to be the new American norm to arrive at lodging and have no one there to greet you. Air BnB may have started the ball rolling on this lack of hospitality, and I resent it. I did not see ONE person who worked there during our one night stay. No doubt it's that ugly bottom line that has erased employees from the picture to save money, but I booked the Yankee Clipper because it seemed well established and respected. Well, it was well used, I will say that. Old, dark room about the size of a closet. Tiny bathroom where you had to be careful not to hit your head on the sink getting up from the toilet. OK Mr. Manager--who will make excuses for whatever I may say here--I DID book a "cheaper" room because the cost of lodging is SO over the top. Positives: Stunning ship model in the common room and we had great weather. Amen.

The room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The breakfast was made fresh and offered several choices. Things that were not so good going down the stairs outside that led to room when it was raining were wet and slippery. They did not have heat on and at night it got cold around 50 degrees outside and damp.

Great place to stay. Gave the exact New England vibe that we were hoping to get. Only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is updating needed in some guestroom bathrooms. Still, I highly recommend a stay here. They can accommodate large groups over multiple houses. Good for families too.

I waited 18 for this trip and there was only one choice of places to stay once I saw it online. I finally made it and was not disappointed. It was everything I hoped for. The view spectacular. Room was beautiful the staff were all friendly and breakfast was wonderful each morning. Bravo Christina on a perfect omelet. Mrs Claire met us with a smile and greeting each day like we were family. I would highly recommend the Yankee Clipper Inn to anyone wanting to stay in the Rockport area. Definitely 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh my goodness, we have fallen in love with the Yankee Clipper Inn. These Nashvillians were SO blown away, we're coming back next month. We stayed in the Flying Cloud room this trip. Great bed, comfy chairs in the bedroom, super sweet sun porch, and oh, the views from our deck. Next month we're in the Red Jacket room. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, and we absolutely loved Caroline. She took great care of us, and we enjoyed her Boston accent. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful, seaside getaway, look no further.

Perfect spot to chill and relax, watching the sea and lobster boats. Accommodation was fantastic, clean and everything you needed. Breakfast was wonderful and all staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel, wish we could have e stayed longer .

The Yankee Clipper is absolutely fabulous. We came for a getaway weekend with our daughter and her husband. The staff are terrific and so friendly! The breakfast comes with the room and is beyond delicious. Beautiful dining area with a view of the ocean. Speaking of views....this has the most beautiful views/scenery! Breathtaking!! We were fortunate to be there Aug 10 when Rockport had their amazing fireworks! Wow!! Rooms are cozy and so comfy!! Highly recommend the Yankee Clipper!!! It's just the perfect place to stay!!! A huge thank you to the staff for a delightful and welcoming stay!!!! Patricia Chadwick

The inn Is nestled on a hillside overlooking the ocean. When we first arrived, it looked smaller than I expected but it turns out, that’s part of its charm. The devoted are by far the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, and I’ve travelled all over Europe and the Caribbean. The rocky hillside terrain gives this place an air of authenticity — it probably looked this way 100 years ago. The breakfasts were lovely and prepared fresh for each guest. The staff so accommodating and genteel. We will certainly return.
