DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country

Good location, friendly staff, but amenities are outdated and there was quite a bit of dust around our lampshade and nightstand.

30 mins from sonoma town itself. Big parking space within the hotel. Room looks old though but they are clean.

Parking fee was not disclosed upon check-in. I did not see a single security feature in their parking lot, so I am not sure what the fee was for, other than to increase the profit margin. They need to state clearly somewhere in print that there is a fee for parking in a lot. It is Rohnert Park, not like a high density area like San Francisco. Seriously, street parking is available a short walk away if I had been informed. Note that I am not concerned about a $16 fee- I probably would have paid it if I was told, but I was never told. So I spent another 30 minutes of wasted time on the phone with Hilton and the hotel, which apparently don't have the same computer system... to learn that it was a parking fee tacked onto my bill. Communication and clarity would go a long way. Oh- the room had water stains on the ceiling and just outside the window was a Carrier A/C unit. That was not really great either, but I didn't notice that until after midnight. They will not see me again. There are too many other hotels nearby, and a ****** with one across the highway.

A quiet hotel close to a few other restaurants and shops. Needs updating. Despite its wide footprint, there are only two elevators, each one located at opposite corners of the building, making it a long trek to/from the lobby and room. Another oddity is the bottled water in the room. A standard hospitality amenity in hotels, their bottles have a warning sign stating that they were free only for silver, gold, and Diamond Hilton Honors members, but had a charge for all other kinds of hotel guests. As if that would motivate a guest to stay more often in order to drink their water. Fortunately, the room was neat and very comfortable. Also, Minette H. at the reception desk was very friendly and was able to smoothly and promptly address all of our questions and needs.

First time staying here and only stayed for the night. The hotel is beautiful and clean. the staff, especially Minnete who helped us were very nice. The pool was a good size and they have a pickleball court. The only thing is the floors are thin. We heard feet running early on the am. Other than that it was an overall good stay.

Check in was a breeze with Minnete H. The rooms are very comfortable and have a good space to do work at the desk. The restaurant has tasty things. Used the board room for meetings, very serviceable. And the DoubleTree cookies at check in are the best!

I walked into the Double Tree a couple days ago to inquire about the hotel’s pricing, restaurant, pool, and rooms and had excellent customer service by the two front desk employees, Valerie and Minnete. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will definitely be booking a room the next time I’m in town. Thank you ladies for your warm and inviting energy.

Love this hotel. Staff is always pleasant and professional. Minette was very helpful. Parking is ample, grounds and rooms clean and we always feel completely safe and cared for. Will be back again.
