Roissy Chambres

We stayed for one night before our flight out of CDG. The pros: Comfortable rooms; kitchen and common spaces for guests' use; walking distance to restaurants in the town of Roissy; good value. The cons: The beds are quite low and my elderly father found that difficult; breakfast options were limited (the cheap sliced white bread in particular could be upgraded); the taxi service that is listed on their website is very expensive - 33 euros (!!) vs 19 euros for the taxi we took from CDG to Roissy Chambres the day before. It was a big car, so we put our 3 suitcases plus 3 day packs in the trunk - I know that taxis charge a per bag fee for luggage, but I thought that the fee only applied to bags over 5 kg, so even luggage fees do not explain the exorbitant cost. This was the only time during our 3 week trip that we felt ripped off by a taxi. Anyway, if you are not taking the bus, I recommend that you take Uber, or otherwise establish the cost of the trip when booking the taxi.

Room was not huge but perfectly adequate. Bathroom was a good size. Nowhere to put luggage. We had two suitcases but simply took out what we needed for an overnight stay and closed the cases so that worked okay. Bed was comfortable, water was hot, WiFi was good and we had tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast is downstairs. Trays of cutlery/crockery are set out in the kitchen and there is plentry to choose from including fresh fruit. There is a very good kitchen, dining and lounge area downstairs. The property was easy to find with excellent instructions sent prior to arrival. We arrived by local bus from CDG airport and the bus stop is almost right outside the property. You take the 95-02 from Roisseypole at Terminal 3. We did not meet our hosts, a sign of the times these days, but can definitely say their communication was excellent prior to arrival. Entry is by key code but the hosts could be contacted if needed at anytime. Good value for an overnight stay if you have an early or late flight. We would recommend.

There is no staff on site. Difficulty understanding person on ring to get door code. No air conditioning. Breakfast foods were prepackaged and meager. No postings for taxi service. The room, however, was clean.

Our 4 night stay at the beautiful Roissy Chambres was wonderful. From the moment we stepped inside we could see and appreciate that Laurent had put a lot of time effort and resources into making his B&B Gomel and inviting. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The mattress and bed linen was fresh, clean and very comfortable. The en-suite bathroom and shower was spacious with a nice warm flowing shower. The kitchen was nicely set out and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The help your self style breakfast was fresh and filling. The dinning room was spacious and also cosy with a comfy sofa at one end with a large wide screen TV where you could sit and relax after your meal. The gardens were well kept and maintained where we enjoyed sitting quietly in the evening sunshine. A big thank you to Laurent for taking the time to personally greet us when we arrived who shared some helpful information about getting around Paris. With room for 4/5 cars and the bus stop just literally a minutes walk away it was ideally situated for both the airport and a 30/40 min drive to central Paris .We really didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay here at Roissy Chambres and we would thoroughly recommend it to everyone.
