Could have been in a bit of a better state. But happy altogether.

No wifi in room except at reception area. Good location with many eateries around.

The room is very nice, the service is very considerate, the location is good and travel is convenient.

The location is good because it's close to the station, but it was difficult because there was a lot of uphill. The room was full with just one suitcase, but it wasn't inconvenient!! When we went, they said they couldn't do it because the Wi-Fi line was broken, so it was very inconvenient. Other than that, we were satisfied with everything.

Very friendly staff. Cozy and clean hotel. Super great location. Colosseum is 800m away. Located in middle of good restaurants and shops. If you want to get a proper feeling of Rome history that is the hotel to go. We had the best time ever! My top recommendations!

To add to my original review check in time says 1:00. Response from hotel says it does say 2:00. Screen shot I took today from the hotel website. I googled Relais Monti hotel in Rome to make my reservation and check in at 1:00 was better than most hotels This is why I was expecting a 1:00 checkin.

We selected this hotel due to its location - near the train station and within walking distance of most sites in Rome - and were very a happy with the accommodations. The beds were comfortable and the room quiet until the morning. We did hear people walking on the floor above us, but it didn't really bother us. It was nice having the elevator to help with our luggage, and the place was safe and clean. If ever back in Rome, we would definitely consider staying here again.

I wish i had read amysuet’s review before I booked this spot. She was correct on all accounts. I reserved three nights, nonrefundable, 250 a night. We stayed two nights. I simply couldn’t stay there another night and walk through the dirty foyer area that smelled like diapers. Then ascending the steps, the carpeting was filthy, and there was no chance of using the elevator because it was so slow. I can’t believe no one mentioned the terrible foyer until Amy did. I would think the rooms were clean, but it just was not the experience I was looking for and not really how it was represented. As I said, we checked out after nights, lost 250 and went elsewhere for a bit more money and had a good last night. It was probably one step above camping.

We used this hotel for one night after returning from Florence before we flew home the next day. I booked this hotel based on reviews from here and also their website. Sadly, this hotel was misrepresented on their website and I have to wonder if the people who reviewed it on TripAdvisor stayed in the same hotel that I did? When we reached the hotel, we did not find the lovely wooden stained door that’s on the website. Instead we found a worn blue painted door that looked like it was the door to an apartment building. In fact we think it was and the hotel is on the upper floors. The door was locked. We gained entry by pushing the top button on the right hand panel and telling them we were guests. We were buzzed into a dirty foyer, not a hotel foyer. There were stairs and the slowest elevator i have ever encountered. The person at reception apologized for it. It was small as expected but my goodness it crawled! Reception was a small desk that is not manned 24/7 which was told to us at check in. Thank goodness we weren’t arriving after the reception person went home! We were given codes to enter the building if no one was there and also to access certain parts of the floor. Our room was not secured behind any kind of secure access point so that could have been an issue. Our room was white with scarred walls. It seemed clean but felt old and worn. There were two bottles of water provided in the fridge. There was a kettle and coffee service. The bed was fairly comfortable and the a/c worked well. The shower was a semicircle and very small. There were no shelves or cubbies for our shower products so they had to go on the floor. We bumped our heads a couple of times trying to reach them. There was a product bolted to the wall but I don’t remember if it was shower gel or shampoo. There was soap bolted to the wall at the sink. The water was hot with good pressure. We did not have breakfast. The area the hotel is in did not feel safe to us (all women) in the evening as there isn’t a lot of activity happening around it. I would not choose to stay here again and certainly would not goose it for home base for touring. The website states it’s “ideal for a luxury stay in an urban-chic setting”. That could not be further from the truth in our situation.

Lovely little hotel, in a street with a couple of good restaurants. 5 mins walk from the underground. Great location for all the main places, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum etc. Would definitely recommend if you want good, clean, pleasant place to stay, in a location that is easy to walk to sights.

The hotel is very well located. Easy access to attractions, shops, and public transport.. Comfortable accommodation, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was unfortunately very monotonous. If we're in Rome, We'll be back for sure :)

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Relais Monti Rome, Italy. We selected a large room with a larger outdoor furnished terrace. We spent late evenings enjoying wines, charcuterie, desserts and great conversation on the terrace. Also, the bed was firm just the way I like it.

We stayed here for the entire week and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Everything was within walking distance except the Vatican. Clean towels and rooms made up every day. Modern showers, balcony and comfortable beds. The front desk was helpful when looking for recommendations and took care of arranging travel from/to airport.

Really pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Exactly as the pictures are shown and very clean. Receptionist very helpful and spoke good English. We were room 405 which was the 4th floor and as a few reviews say it is a hike up the stairs. There is a lift but it is very, very slow. You can walk faster than the lift goes but.. we still loved our room with its own terrace and it was very quiet. This hotel is so local to everything. We literally walked everywhere, the coloseum was less than a 10min walk, there is an amazing gelato place just up from the hotel, a lovely bakery and a brilliant takeway pizza place 😀 I would definitely rebook this hotel if we every went back to Rome. Room cleaned every day, fresh towels everyday and there is slippers given too. Room is equipped with tv, tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Mini fridge, hairdryer and toiletries. One thing I could say is the mattress is very hard but apart from that one negative i loved this hotel. 100% recommend 👌
