The location is great, take care of the path you choose to walk back to the hotel though as one includes a set of stairs that will leave you breathless.
The hotel is clean and the staff is very kind and friendly.
They offer some services and there’s quite a good breakfast. The only issue I’ve found, the breakfast could be more vegan friendly.
There’s a terrace on last floor with an amazing view of the city.
We will definitely come back

The hotel staff were so friendly, had arrangements to have a shuttle direct from the airport to the hotel and as first time to Europe, this was fantastic. Any questions we had were answered and always helpful for sightseeing tips, meals and overall information when we required it!! Thank you to each and every one of your staff - from housecleaning, breakfast preparation and front desk staff - a trip of a lifetime for our family and will always be treasured!!

Hôtel idéalement situé pour visiter les quartiers et monuments historiques de Rome, on peut tout faire à pied. Notre chambre était spacieuse avec un grand balcon, c'était propre et la literie était bonne. Les joints de douche mériteraient un petit rafraichissement, mais rien de rébarbatif. Les fins de soirée avec un cocktail au roof-top étaient superbes. Personnel très serviables et compétent. Petits-déjeuners buffet, sucrés/salés. Et merci à Tommaso pour ses conseils avisés et qui plus est en français !

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Colosseum. Located in a quiet side street but close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, which the city bus tours stop at in the Piazza and a 10 minute walk down to the Via Cavour to the Colosseum. The hotel has a lovely relaxed feel. All the staff we came into contact with were unfailingly welcoming and helpful. The rooms were unfussy well kept with comfortable beds. After a day out in the city it was a nice place to return to and especially as the rooftop terrace was a place to enjoy a drink. There are plenty of restaurant options in walking distance of the hotel ... and not at the prices the tourist hotspots charge. In summary it was a great hotel option for exploring inner city Rome.

Great location - 15 mins from train station, walkable to all sites within Rome and just enough away to beat the crowds. Great restaurants near by. Rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city. Comfortable room - bed comfortable, shower was powerful and warm if needed. All amenities covered (soap,hairdryer etc) Breakfast - Good range of hot and cold food/drinks to start the day. Staff always refreshing items. Service - Amazing. Reception always avaliable to help, Rooms spotless when asked to be made up. Overall - Great place to stay whilst visting the sites, would come back.

We stayed here for 5 nights in October 2022 - 2 rooms, 2 adults in each. The staff were outstanding. Friendly, and very helpful. The hotel rooms are small, but very clean and the air conditioning was wonderful. The bathrooms were excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast which was included in the room rate. And once again the breakfast room staff were very friendly and their greetings each morning were lovely. The rooftop patio was just lovely, a great place to rest and enjoy a spectacular view of Rome, with a drink in hand. The hotel is in a fabulous location....walking distance to all the major tourist attractions....and in a very quiet neighbourhood with plenty of lovely restaurants nearby. We cannot wait to visit Rome again, and will definitely stay at the Hotel Colosseum once again.
