This place was more than amazing!!!!! The check -in was easy ( we arrived early so the owner said please come by and leave your luggage and we will have your room ready when you return) the lady who met us at the door was very cheerful and ready to make my sister and I comfortable and see if we had any special needs. When we returned the owner Jon Carlo met us with a very warm smile and showed us everything and informed us of where to go in Rome. I must stress that I am a seasoned traveler and for fifteen years was a flight attendant , and Jon Carlo is the most hospitable host I have ever encountered. During my stay, which was at the end of a sixteen day cruise I came down with a severe sinus issue and did not feel well, Jon Carlo called his family personal physician and had her come and examine me in my room. The physician spoke english and was very personable, and told me I needed antibiotics, and asked me to call my doctor in the USA to confirm that my regular physician approved. Jon Carlo, was so supportive and kind to me and said he would pay the physician and add it to my bill so I did not have to pay cash. The location was at the top of the Spanish Steps. You walk out the doors walk less than 200 feet and you are looking at the square and walking down the Spanish Steps. My bedroom window overlooked the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. This is a wonderful, wonderful place. Clean, Quaint, and it feels like HOME.

I came to Rome and tried the newly opened Bulgari. The waiters were super enthusiastic, the environment is beautiful, and the breakfast options need to be improved. It's a pity that I didn't have time to try the skills of the hotel's Michelin chef. I will choose again next time I come to Rome

This is a really very good hotel. I enjoyed the quality of the staff, the room ,the location and general quality of the Hotel. It would have got 5 stars but for 2 things.. and both relate to Cielo bar..a superb place for a visitor to Rome staying in the hotel to enjoy the great views of Rome particularly at sunset and a drink. Firstly,we arrived at the rooftop bar to find it full of people not staying in the hotel and there was no priority whatsoever for guests of the hotel. Here the bar and the views were filled with locals paying 16 euros for a drink and the guests paying hundreds of euros each night could not get a seat..and the Restaurant above not open till 7.30. Secondly, the appalling loud music at the bar was totally disruptive to a sophisticated enjoyment of the view trumpeted in the hotels advertising.. It detracted from the general quality of the hotel.. The Hausler next door has a total priority policy for guests next to the De La Ville on their rooftop and indeed our existing hotel in Portifino the same,. Pity it detracted from our stay.

Beautiful property, our room is amazing. And The service is excellent. And Mario at the restaurant is the best! The cocktails at the bar were invented and unique, I loved my elderflower sour was amazing. We also love the central location and how close the hotel is too many of our favorite spots in Rome.

Ordered breakfast. The hotel was very nice. Champagne and fruit were delivered. The room was large and comfortable. One of the best hotels I've stayed in Europe. It is five minutes away from Plaza de Espana and you can come back and relax during shopping. The service is also very satisfied! I want to stay here next time.

The staff are excellent and attentive. The location is very good. There's a restaurant on the 6th floor where the food is very good indeed. There's a cafe / bar called Brillo outside which is affiliated to the hotel and is superb. A welcoming bottle of sparklig wine. Great coffee in the rooms. Down sides - orange juice for breakfast is undrinkable, you can order freshly squeezed for €7 instead. Our room (522) was on the 5th floor just below the restaurant. Guests and staff make a lot of noise up until 02:30. Many guets exitted close to our door and were clearly the worse for wear. There is an internal door that would help but the staff insist on it staying open and it bangs if open and closed. There is very little sound proofing between the rooms. Space is tight but this is central Rome.
