The Bathtube was chipped, with big rust stains con the marble. The bathroon door hits the bidet every time you open it. The breakfast was very rich but with no meat, because “they’re vegetarians”. When you go to a five stars hotel tou exepct something different. At the check in they even ask for a credit card or a 50 euro deposit in case you finish off their minibar. I was really not pleased.
La Residenza Dell'Angelo

We had the opportunity to stay in the ”new” area and the hotel contacted us the day before we arrived to notify us because we would be staying across the street from the main building. There was no one there to greet us but they did provide us door codes to let us in and left the key on the front desk. They charged a city tax which we had to pay at the front desk of the main hotel. The only issues we had for check in is that both parts of the hotel are non-descript and have no signage outside - for the main part you have to look for the street number and the hotel's name is on the call board. I don't think either desk has staff after hours but we felt safe. The newer rooms are located below ground level beside a fairly busy street. Only motorcycles were the issue and we didn't hear them between 9 pm and 7 am. The bed was comfy with good pillows and the room came with a desk, closet and chair. The room was big enough for the two of us but the bathroom quarters were tight with a slanted ceiling that was quite low. I had to duck to use the toilet and get in and out of the shower - I bumped my head a lot in the washroom at 180 cm. The shower had good pressure and they provided extra packets of shampoo and soap. The shower head placement is a bit weird but wasn't a deal breaker. The hotel had a kettle with some tea, instant coffee and Biscoff biscuits. In the hallway they had a Krup/Nespresso machine to make espresso and coffee from pods. Another nice feature is that since the rooms we stayed in were below ground they stayed nice and cool. There was also its own AC/heat machine in the room with an English remote so we could control the climate of the room. The area is quite cool and we were a 20 minute walk to the Vatican City Museum Entrance and 10 minute walk to St. Peter's Square. The Castel Sant'Angelo was right across the river from us and was really nice to look at day and night. The forum and Colosseum area were about 30 minutes away as well and there were many small attractions and good restaurants nearby. April is the start of high season in Rome and we paid more than we wanted to for this hotel but relative to other crazy prices in Rome we thought we got a decent deal for a good night's sleep while we explored Rome. The prices seem to fluctuate a lot at this hotel and you could probably get a good deal here in low season. To get here you can take a 20 minute ride from Roma Termini on Bus 40 or 64 which is 1.5 Euros. If you're coming from or going to the airport the SIT bus was an excellent option and costs 8 Euros for a comfy sit down bus with a couple of stops. You can also take a train/bus combo from the airport to Roma Termini and then to the hotel. Anyway it is pleasant and convenient.

Can’t say enough about hotel atelier and the lovely staff. Our stay was perfect, for such a busy trip having a clean, comfy, air conditioned room to come back to after activities made all the difference. The hotel staff are beyond lovely and you can whatsapp them throughout the stay with any queries. It is not a traditional hotel and there is no 24/hour reception or restaurant, just a collection of rooms on the 3rd floor of a building. We also found the location ideal and if we return to Rome we will be booking back with this hotel!

At 10.30 in the morning I was given the room after checking 300 metres away from the ”Mother” hotel La Dimora delle Cinque Lune . The location is very centrally located 2 minutes walk from one of the most beautiful squares in Rome Piazza Navona, 5' walk from Fontana di Trevi , Piazza di Spagna, etc. The Clorinda room from the medieval style as the rest is studied specially furnished with the furnishings A charm that brings you back in time as if you were sleeping in a fantastic castle of other times. The work of the size of the bed boss 2.5x2.00 rigorously painted hand-pictures a woman of 800esco style is very interesting for the work done because the artist has been able to give an expression to the painting by giving you the impression that follows you constantly with the eyes in every movement, reminding me a little of the Mona Lisa of the great Leonardo da Vinci. The room is equipped with every comfort and is size that exceeds 25mq The breakfast is served at the 4th floor hotel is excellent is really there is any taste from salad to sweet just choose! The chilli on the cake? The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable and comfortable.

If you want to be in the heart of it all this is a great spot , walking distance to everything. Check in on the main road via Zardenelli at the sister property, the hotel sign is tiny and at first I thought the taxi had taken me to the wrong place. I had pre paid before and only had to pay the few euros city/local tax when I was there. So its very authentic and you get an actual key for the front door and the room door so keep it safe. The room was lovely and how nice to be upgraded so i had a large bathroom and sofa in the room overlooking via dei coronari. The lift has a code to be able to use it and the numbers are so tiny so be careful not to incorrectly input the wrong number, the wifi was good for both calls and browsing. When i got into the room , the lamp didn't work , so when we called the only number i had from the booking confirmation i printed a guy answered on his mobile ! I thought there would be a number to call reception at the sister hotel , but no he then called them and they came over to look at the lamp. There was a fridge and extra pillows, blankets but NO glasses!! not even a glass in the bathroom ... so nothing to drink out of when I did buy drinks for the fridge (disappointing) and I couldn't call the guy back on his mobile for a glass, they should be in the room as standard. As others have said there are NO channels on the TV that are in English , even CNN or BBC world news out of the 200 channels would be great for international visitors. The hotel were great to keep our bags whilst we did the last bit of sightseeing. I was there for 3 nights and that was more than fine. I didn't use the breakfast at the sister hotel as I met friends so cannot comment on what it was like. For the price, location and ease of check in I would stay here again. I

First, I need to say, that I only stayed at this sweet hotel for 12 hours...it was a late arrival, one night, and an early departure. That being said, I cannot speak to some of the aspects of Relais Giulia Hotel, like the breakfast or the staff. However, in my short stay, a few issues stood out that I thought were worth writing a review about. Pros: 1) Very responsive staff with regard to email communication. 2) The late check-in process was clearly explained and everything worked seamlessly. 3) The hotel room was immaculate. 4) The hotel room was fairly spacious, especially by Rome standards. 5) The hotel is situated on a beautiful QUIET street in the center of Rome with easy walkability to The Vatican and many other sights. 6) Great price compared to other hotels in Rome's city center. Cons: 1) There is no one at the reception desk from 4pm -8am. This isn't necessarily a con, just be aware and understand if you need assistance, you're on your own at these hours. 2) Your room key is a ”virtual key” accessed through your cellular phone. This isn't necessarily a con, but if you are not technically inclined, you may not want to risk it! I am comfortable with my cell phone, but I had to log into the hotel's internet before I could access my room. On the pro side...everything is clearly explained in an email prior to your arrival and they even have a YouTube video on how to use the virtual key, but if you don't have a data plan with 4G or 5G, you will need to get onto the hotel wifi first. Overall, this is a sweet hotel on one of the loveliest streets in Rome. If you do not require extra frills or personal attention, it could be a great option for you. I would be curious as to how the hotel breakfast is presented, but the staff, in my limited experience, seemed very responsive and helpful via email.
