Bug roach infested room. Do not stay here. Building needs to be condemned. Filthy dirty nothing was clean. Roaches all over our food in morning

It`s a beautiful place to stay when you need to be away from the city noise and stress. The facility is good, price is budget friendly, and the staff are very friendly and supportive.

Very unclean rooms - went through 3 rooms checking in as all had cleanliness issues, but all 3 had dirty floors. We cut our stay short and left after 1st night and didn't even want to shower there. Pathetic maids couldn't even put pillow case on correctly as two were inside out and one didn't even fit the pillow as it was hanging out half way. The same manager on duty never apologized after switching our rooms 3 times nor checking out early the next day.

Great Stay following a wedding reception. Room was clean. Bed and pillows comfortable, even the window seat was nice. Staff takes pride in their work. Linens fresh and smell great. Continues to make improvements, would stay again and recommend it. In room fridge and coffee maker. Great stay for price.

The place was over all decent. The property was a tad run down but to be expected in the area and price range. It has a decent pool but, it seems to be used quite often as there are a lot of live in residence there. No one bothers you at all and you can bring a pet along. They have church threw out the week inside also and that’s a plus!

This place is disgusting!! The pool is scummy, the "breakfast" was thawed frozen waffles and toast. Bedding was dirty with someone else's makeup still on it which was totally disgusting. And the GIANT RED FLAG AT CHECK IN, a homeless man going off on the clerk behind the counter when I was checking in.. I should have never checked in! $90 a night for filth and disgust! Wingate down the street wad $2 more a night and is SOOOOO much better!

I booked 2 rooms × 2 nights but we got very disappointed when we were placed in 2 remote and isolated rooms (1 room has a door that opens to another room with other guests in) after we had to go downstairs to let them know that 1 room had only one queen bed instead of 2. The surprise was when the lock of the door of 1 room was not working, and passing people opened the door while we we in the room. Another horrible surprise was when my daughter found a drug needle within the bed; my kids felt totally upset and didn't use the bedding material afterwards. What made it even worse was a crying baby all night in the room that has a door between us and them (not complaining about the baby, but this other room was supposed to be for a family that booked 2 rooms. We couldn't sleep the night and had terrible insomnia. When my kids went for breakfast they were upset with the very limited variety of items served. There were only cerial jam, butter, and toast. Coffee. There was unpleasant smell everywhere in the hallways thatvyou can't bear. We had to cancel our 2nd night and our vacation that we had planned beforehand as it was unpleasantly ruined by this experience.

I wrote another negative review concerning this 8 night business trip to Roseville, MI in Oct 2022. Less than 1/4 mile away on 13 Mile Rd, I originally checked into the Baymont by Wyndham. I had 2 nights booked but checked out after the first night due to a horrible experience that I noted in the Baymont review. Upon checking out of the Baymont, I immediately went to the Microtel to check in. It looked neat and clean on the outside, and inside the lobby. But how could I possibly choose a second hotel that had its own unique problems? Upon awakening in the morning after the first night at 5am to loud bass thumping rap music, I was pissed. At 7am, I called the front desk and was told by the attendant that "quiet time" was technically over and there was nothing that could be done. Over the next day and a half, I realized after coming and going from the property that something was not right: 1) There were MANY scruffy looking people walking in an out the entrances and thru the hallways. 2) The same people were hanging out in groups at the rear entrances smoking and/or around the ice machine on the first floor. 3) Finally, there were two people who I observed on two different occasions chaining/locking their bicycles to a tree not far from the rear entrance and then entering the building. None of these people looked like typical out-of-town guests. I went to the front desk to inquire about what was going on. THE ANSWER BLEW MY MIND!!! THE DESK ATTENDANT TOLD ME THAT THE 3RD FLOOR OF THE HOTEL WAS RESERVED FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO LIVED AT THE MICROTEL AS PART OF A HOMELESS SHELTER PROGRAM!!!!! Were they freeking kidding?? I was paying $80 - $90 per night to stay at a freeking homeless shelter? Before the 3rd night, I tracked down Tom, the so called GM of the Microtel, and he would not answer my inquiry about the homeless shelter issue. Needless to say, I shortened my stay from 5 nights to 3 nights. And yes, on this 8 night business trip to Roseville, I checked into a 3rd hotel for the last 3 nights, The Super 8 located less than 1/2 mile away, and whadaya know.....the Super 8 was clean, quiet, also and economy hotel in Roseville, but with competent, polite, professional front desk attendants who were articulate, honest and helpful. Super 8's management actually "gets" that just because it is an economy hotel in Roseville, a basic blue collar type city, that hotel guests still deserve good service and accommodations. SUPER 8 HAS NOW EARNED MY FUTURE BUSINESS, THE NEXT TIME I'M CALLED TO ROSEVILLE ON PERSONAL BUSINESS. Again folks, be aware of the problems I noted about the Baymont and Microtel hotels....which are both part of the Wyndham organization. The bad experiences at each of these hotels reflects how Wyndham's corporate level management has miserably failed to oversee the incompetent, unprofessional, classless local on-site managers and front desk attendants, at these properties.
