The rooms and view was good but we were there during the heatwave and there was no AC in the room just a small portable fan and an open patio door. The SPA experience was unique and was time controlled in each of the hydro pools, could/ should have been longer in each section. The restaurant seemed understaffed and the food was alright but not worth the price, in fact I had a mussel green curry dish and I believe a third of the clams/ mussels did not open while being cooked. The next night we were in town for dinner and they had the exact same item on their menu word for word in the description and it was 1/3 third the price. Breakfast I had the eggs Benedict and the sauce had cooled off too much for my liking.

Ok where do I start! I am a past patron. What has happened. exiting the hyropath had a dirty bandaid stuck to my leg (not mine). Our room was stinky of dirty feet! still carpet in rooms. The furniture in the restaurant needs replacing all worn. THIS IS SUPPOST TO BE A LUXURY RESORT! that's what we paid for! Just another overpriced crappy hotel now! Thank for the Costco chocolates with our restaurant cheques.

For an expensive resort, we were a little disappointed. The room was adequate but they cheaped out a bit with only one small bar of soap and none for the shower, really low water pressure, uncomfortable beds and no ice machine to be found! You had to go to the restaurant to get ice which was really inconvenient. The grounds were lovely though with the most beautiful gardens, seating areas with fire pits, tranquil music....and kids running around like they are at a campground. So if you are hoping for a quiet, stress free getaway, maybe even away from the kids, I say give this place a pass. We won't likely go back.

This resort exceeded our expectations. We had a very relaxing stay here and look forward to returning. Although we did not indulge in any spa treatments, the grounds were incredible & the pool & hot tub were both really nice. The smoke detector in an adjoining room went off at 3 a,m., but management made a very generous adjustment to our bill as compensation. We think the restaurant must have been understaffed, as the dinner service was very slow. Overall, if you're looking for a get-away in a highly relaxing environment, we recommend that you plan a stay at the Kingfisher.

Enjoy ocean views from your balcony Adirondack chairs. Rooms have coffee/ kettle/ fridge (cream) and iron/ board. Beds are comfy. Spa robes/ slippers await you. Staff are versed in the art of customer care. Service is elegant. We dined at the Bistro and the food was delicious. We enhanced our stay with a relaxing massage before bed. Kingfisher Spa is a special treat. The meandering gardens and fire bowls are so inviting- glad we visited in June with the Peonies in bloom.

We popped in for dinner and we were disappointed by the limited menu especially for vegetarians. It is odd for a spa retreat hotel to not have a health forward menu. The service was good. Food quality was average. Vegetables did not seem very fresh. Plating was average.

We booked a garden view room but we could see the ocean. Our room appears like it was an old hotel they renovated , it was ok . We went to celebrate our anniversary , we found a card in our room but it was happy anniversary to a different couple ! Our spa experience was good , the staff were very friendly the best was the staff and food as well as drinks at the bistro

I do know where to begin. This resort is spectacular. Our beachfront suite, mere feet from the water offered unparalleled comfort and space. We had a kitchenette that was perfect for breakfast on the patio. Sunrise every morning. The sound of waves lulling us to sleep. The resort grounds are breathtaking. Enjoying cocktails at the bistro or at a fire bowl was a nightly tradition. A magical location. Oh, and the hydropath is a must. It is a perfect way to relax after several days of hiking/exploring all the beauty that the Comox Valley has to offer.

Booked 3 days to decompress after trauma retreat for veterans, opted for a package, paid double occupancy but I was staying/sleeping in the room alone. Since the hotel forgot to book my hydropath in a timely fashion, they started contacting me via telephone 3 days prior to arrival. I advidsed them via e-mail that I am at a trauma retreat and will make arrangements at check-in, just like the other times. Phone call the next day telling me it's becoming "urgent" that thay book the hydropath and they need the name of person staying in my room with me. Advised Miranda that I am staying/sleeping in the room alone, paying the double occupancy and will have my daughter-in-law take the hydropath (my children live in Comox). I also advised her that I am in the middle of the retreat and will make all these plans once I arrive (as I have done already). As I am trying to let her go, I am then told (very rudely) that if I do not book the Hydropath and there is no availability during my visit, that I am still paying for the package. Once again, I advise her of where I am and that I will make the arrangements as I arrive (the next day), that I understand if there's no room, I will not be doing the Hydropath. Next thing you know, I get this e-mail: I hope this email finds you well. We just spoke on the phone regarding your upcoming stay for tomorrow, I had called to book you in to the Hydropath and acquire your guests name. You had mentioned it’s just you in the room, though you’re booked on the package as a double occupancy, and had mentioned you will have a few friends come to the resort during your stay . I was gathering my thoughts for a further inquiry regarding your room guest count, when you mentioned to me it was not a good time and you had to go and it will be figured out tomorrow. This is what’s prompting this email. We would like to advise that if there’s more than 2 guests staying in the room, we cannot have you on this packaged rate or in this room. As this room only accommodates 2 guests as there’s only 1 king bed. Additionally, we cannot guarantee the availability of the Hydropath. This is non-transferrable, which is why it should be booked in at the time of booking, to ensure use of what’s paid for within the package. If you’re not able to get in to the Hydropath during your stay, this will not be credited back to you. Wishing you a wonderful day. Sincerely, Miranda From this e-mail, it became quite clear that the hotel reservation staff do not listen to anything you're saying, then turn the entire conversation into an issue that was definitely not hapening. All I wanted was a place to feel safe and relaxed, this was starting to look like neither of those scenarios. As I was about to leave the retreat, I received yet another very rude phone call, this time making it seem as though I would be using my time at their resort to have a huge party, be a difficult person and have extra guests etc. This is when I finally asked to sp
