We checked into Lumbini Palace Resort on November 24, 2023, for a two-night stay. Our experience was flawless; there were no service issues, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. However, upon checking out, I realized I had carelessly left behind a very important item in the room. The day after our departure, I contacted the hotel to inquire about my belongings. They assured me they had found them and would promptly send them back to me. Initially relieved, I awaited their response eagerly. However, as days passed, I received no updates despite my repeated requests for them to send my belongings via courier, with me covering the costs. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to respond to my requests, leaving me to make weekly follow-up calls. After more than three months of waiting, I was informed that my belongings had been lost. The excuses provided, such as changes in management or staff not being on duty, seemed unprofessional and lacked accountability. Losing items of great religious significance has been distressing, and the lack of genuine concern from the hotel only exacerbated the situation. Additionally, the absence of any communication from the new manager further highlighted the hotel's disregard for customer care. As someone involved in the travel industry, I had considered recommending Lumbini Palace Resort to my clients. However, based on my experience, I have decided against it. It's clear that the resort's staff need better training and a deeper understanding of their responsibilities in the hospitality industry. This incident serves as a reminder that exemplary customer service is essential for sustaining success in this field...

If you’re looking for a beautiful and comfortable hotel, it is the place to go ! Rooms nice and clean, with a lot of space, all everything you need. Staff is so kind that you feel like at home. Stayed in Room 107 for 2 nights. I arrived early in the evening thanks to difficulties crossing the Indian Nepal border. No major problems checking in except some confusion over if I had already paid. The hotel is in a very good condition with marble and tiles everywhere. My room was on the first floor. There didn't appear to be a lift, but the staircase was pretty shallow anyway. Upon entry to the room, there was a strong smell of Naphthalene. Everything looked clean, although I picked up dust while walking barefoot and ended up using the slippers provided. The bathroom had an open shower, toilet and basin. The room was large enough without everything getting in the way. Hot water was available via a hot water boiler. The bathroom was clean and hygienist enough, although the silicone sealant needed to be redone. The room had a double and a single bed. The blanket and sheets were clean, although there was a slight damp smell. The mattress was medium firm and with the thick blankets, it was quite comfortable sleeping even in the cooler Feb/March weather. Breakfast was part of the package and had to be ordered with a call to the in-house restaurant and brought to the room. Location wise, the hotel is about 15 minutes to the airport by car. The main bus stand is 2 minutes walk away. The immediate area is quiet. The nearest restaurant is about 5 minutes walk, or use the in-house restaurant. The nearest busy area is probably Buddha Chowk, about 1 to 2 km away. That's also where you can get a local bus to Lumbini Historic Park. Overall, I had a good stay. The front office staff are fantastic. Really polite and courteous. The hotel is in good condition, bar some of the small points already mentioned.

Five Elements was my highlight in Lumbini. My room was spacious and the AC was excellent and rescued my stay in hot Lumbini, which is definitely worth a visit but during the dry season you should definitely stay at a clean, modern hotel, such as Five Elements, that is well equipped with comfy big beds with exquisite cotton duvets and soft dreamlike pillows and covers. The bathroom has got everything you need and on top a water jet of high pressure - something I miss so often in hotels! The location is perfect because it is a bit back from the main road. My sleep was brilliant and I also enjoyed the quality of my food served by friendly helpful staff. It isn’t far from the beautiful Maya Devi Temple, which I liked best. Actually, this hotel isn’t far from any attraction in Lumbini. All in all, I can only recommend staying there, booking was easy, without complications of any kind. I can say that Five Elements made my stay😊 Thank you 🙏 very much everybody.

Room: The standard room we set, although small, but very clean, the starting room is too noisy, help us change the quiet room, the facilities are a bit old, the TV is a bit small, but you can watch YouTube online, Chinese programs can be seen. Service: Maybe it is affected by a good word on the wall, meditation, good things can not be less than me, bad things can not be more than me. The waiters here are particularly good and they will do their best to meet the needs of customers. A recommended hotel, will come again.

It's pretty good in Lumbini. To be honest, I live very comfortably. It has nothing to do with not being scored 5 points. It is recommended. The service score was low because a male staff member at the front desk of the hotel, about 30 years old, helped us find a local ”Tutu” car. He started to say 100 rupees, and it cost 1,000 to return to the hotel after using the car. Don't we understand the difference between 100 and 1000? It's ridiculous. Rs 900 is just 50+ RMB. Angrily complained to Ctrip, Ctrip handled it very well, with 100 points. Lament the greatness of the motherland! No matter Nepal or Bhutan, there are good people and people who are not bad people.
