We were in the restaurant on 31 March 2024, around 1 p.m. (17 of us). The waiter charged us 100 euros extra by mistake-which we don't believe at all that was the case. He asked us to pay the bill asap, and he told us that he didn't have time to wait for us (we wanted to split the bill between each other), but then we realised that he tried to get much more money from us. I still cannot explain to myself how rough that is or the waiter's behaviour and attitude. My advice is to check your bill line by line; otherwise, you will pay much more than you consumed.

Quite a few tables, we got a spot on the street side, it wasn't busy but we had a nice meal and a good white wine was served. Food good, but not overwhelming. Maybe try again. However, walking from the Warsberg is still a bit too much.

The food (we all had pizza) was ok, but the service let the whole thing down. I can only describe it at brusque. Not an ounce of warmth could be detected and we felt largely like an inconvenience. One of the staff knocked a beer over a pizza when putting another down. No real apology, the pizza was replaced but the beer wasn’t. When we asked for a replacement a small beer was brought out to replace the spilt large beer. When we commented on how that wasn’t what we expected, it was clear they felt we were being difficult. Lots of other nice restaurants in this lovely little town. Give them your custom instead.

Nice house in a central location with nice, large rooms and comfortable beds, a few private parking spaces nearby - chargeable and must be reserved, but it makes sense because the public ones near the house are hard to get! All in all, recommended!!

Food and service was good and the staff excellent, considering we were a group of 80 plus persons. We were seated outside by the edge of the river and waterfall. Excellent ambiance, lovely weather but due to the compact size of the market place in general a rather strong wind spoilt it somewhat. Has we were only here to eat I'm unable to comment on the hotel itself.

When I made the booking on the phone, I received very friendly, informative and competent advice...and on top of that, I got a free room upgrade! Super friendly, warm welcome! We felt like welcome guests throughout our entire stay, which also applies to the hotel restaurant! Genuine friendliness that you unfortunately don't experience in every hotel! Location: top! Room, the suite at the front, absolutely great. Comfortable bed, modernized bathroom! Tiny disadvantage in summer: no air conditioning...but bearable with the window open. Of course, you have to be aware that the location at the front facing the market square is not always very quiet, which didn't bother us at all, because if you book directly at the market/in the middle of it all, you know that beforehand! But no problem with the window closed. Wonderful seats in the restaurant both inside and outside and the price-performance ratio is good! Food also good, friendliness of the waiters - to mention again - great! Parking spaces available behind the house, can also be booked in a nearby parking garage and there are also free parking spaces nearby in town! All in all, great and recommended!!

Poor to no WiFi reception in the room. Uncomfortable shower in the bathtub, you have to bend down every time to check the water. No light on the bathroom mirror. And the request to report yourself to the police if the neighbors are loud (see picture) is outrageous. If my well-being was important, then the hotel should ensure peace and quiet. But at night there was only noise from the people trampling around above me.

Nice location on the Saar, right in the center. Soups are pricey. Rest acceptable. Service was slow in the afternoon. Around 3 p.m. A little later, around 5 p.m., things went very quickly. Price for 0.4 beer was 4 euros. Food with good taste and good price/quality/quantity.

Great room, nice furnishings, comfortable and good bed and we didn't mind hearing the rushing of the small river :-))))). Very nice staff, extremely helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, cold cuts, selection of cheeses, jams and honey, super tasty coffee, sufficient selection of fresh bread/rolls. Freshly prepared egg dishes.
