The room we booked could not be unlocked despite the best efforts of ourselves and the man on reception, so we were put into room 104. As stated in the previous review about this room, the two beds had been pushed together and the lack of a headboard made sitting up uncomfortable. In the end we thought we were fortunate to have a room at the rear of the hotel as the front is sited next to a very busy road which would have been noisy at night. We were exhausted after a full days travel and were disappointed that the bar and the restaurant were closed until 8.00pm so we made do with crisps and biscuits we had with us. Can’t fault the staff but we did feel it was pricey for somewhere that had no drinks facilities in the room, weak wi fi and no bar and restaurant when we needed them. A good point is that they are cycle friendly and probably good for skiers. Lovely scenery around it but the road would stop us booking again.

An attractive building in an attractive location with good views and the village of Senegue was worth a wander. However the internal walls were paper thin and every move could be heard from the rooms adjacent and above. The wifi in the restaurant was strong and fast but weak, slow and intermittent in room 104. We asked for double bed – confirmed but got 2 beds pushed together. Beds had no headboard but just rough brickwork behind the beds. This may have been an attractive decorative feature but not comfortable when sitting up in bed to read. The lamb cutlets at dinner were good but the meal unmemorable. Breakfast was disappointing. Three slices of bread, an orange juice and two cups of coffee each for €11+. Total cost for dinner bed and breakfast for 2 was €187 which I felt was high for what we got.

PD: Las mejores lentejas que he probado nunca.
