"Остановка транспорта (от автовокзала лучше доехать) в паре минут от отеля, возле турбюро. Для желающих пройти пешком надо от автостанции идти вдоль большой дороги до ущелья, где начинается старый город, спуститься вниз до места, где написано, что в 1994 году Шафранболу вошел в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО, оттуда направо и пройти по старым улицам еще минут 5-7. Итого до автостанции около получаса, до смотровой площадки и каньона - чуть больше часа. Отель расположен в историческом центре, местность очень холмистая, город пересекает угрожающего вида ущелье. Старый дом в традиционном стиле, на выбор предложили большую и более нарядную комнату с тремя окнами во двор, но там три больших окна и зимой холодно-холодно, к тому же там ванная не в номере, а дверь по соседству в холле, и маленькую, с окнами на улицу, но теплее, и с собственной ванной. Слышимость абсолютная, все, что происходит на улице, слышно, но людей там ходит по зиме мало, слышно только местных собак на улице и поскольку напротив стоит мечеть, то ее. Маленькая ванная, полы холодные, поэтому в ванной стоят тапки, но я вожу свои. В номере нет чайника, если надо, хозяйка сама сделает и принесёт, что сначала казалось очень неудобным, потом привыкли и было очень мило пить чай из термоса. Супермаркета в историческом городе нет, есть небольшие лавки. В новом городе (полчаса пешком наверх) есть уже и супермаркеты, и аптеки, и кебабные. Видимо, до нас в номере давно никто не жил и в первую ночь было очень холодно, впрочем, мы сразу вытащили из шкафа большое одеяло из овечьей шерсти и спать под ним было тепло. Потом батарея нагрела комнату и в ней было уж комфортно находиться. Боялась, что будет не хватать горячей воды в душе, но ограничений, судя по всему, нет. На фото ванной виды бронзовые краны - как потом увидели в городском музее, это старинные краны в этой местности. Завтрак с 8.30,хозяйка накрывает внизу традиционный. Как только сели, тут же несет чайник и яичницу на сковородке. Вообще в доме жили одни, хозяйка тоже очень милая. Город маленький и очень приятный, три дня гуляли по нему, один день выезжали в город Кастамону. У дома есть небольшой сад, наверное, там особенно хорошо весной-осенью. Дом застелен половиками, старинной утварью, ходишь по нему как по музею. С удовольствием приедем еще раз!"

"Magical! THE very best hotel we stayed during a 14 day around a Turkey trip. We are only staying for one night in Safranbolu so we chose to stay in one of the iconic Ottoman houses and that was a good decision. Walkable to the museum and shops on pebbled street. We felt like living in history. All the period features has been very carefully preserved. So many things to look at and appreciate, the wooden windows, the fabric, the metal clutches and the heavy key. What amazed us is how useable of these historic items. The door just closes itself very smoothly and locks with a satisfying clunck. The bedding is super comfy with high count weave of cotton and goose down pillows. The bathroom is sufficiently modernised. Everywhere around the house and garden is a framable picture. Love how the decorations are put in place. Not too busy or too instagrammable but relaxed and artistically arranged. We had an amazing stay and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Asam guided us from the car park and carried our luggage up the stairs and showed us the cool wine cellar. Sofia’s breakfast is delicious with the best home made saffron jam and ginger jam and apricot jam. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family if they are visiting Safranbolu. Also the classical music in the garden is a nice touch! "

In addition, as I observed, there is no air conditioning in the room, and a heater is placed in the cabinet. So it should be considered carefully in the hot or cold season. As far as this homestay is concerned, the operator is a family of three, the male owner is responsible for communication, and the hostess is responsible for cooking. We stayed for two nights and the hostess told us that the next day's breakfast was 9 o'clock. She may be shy? ?
