Great hotel. Good location for where we wanted to visit. Left my watch in the room and was able to retrieve it from the cleaning staff a couple of days later. Would recommend to all

Stayed for 4 nights whilst on bowls tour. Small room which although clean, was very tired 😫 hot shower Food ok - buffet style breakfast and buffet style evening meal. Outside areas shabby - gardens need tidying up and furniture improved Definite refurb required Location is good for M1 & St Albans etc but absolutely nothing to do at hotel itself. Without a car you're snookered Would not rebook

Stopped here on 19/6 as an overnight stay before our flight. Long walk to the room which was very basic . Asked for an early morning call which we didn’t get good job I hadn’t relied on it. Receptionist was sat talking to a friend when we checked out and when I explained about the missed call he argued with me that I hadn’t booked it! Not impressed won’t be using again!

I used the meeting & conference facilities at Aubrey Park for a work event and would recommend it as a good value venue for meetings outside of London but with good transport links into the city. The food was delicious and staff were always helpful.

came on a bus trip. been before. rooms hard to find but good. bed comfy and room clean. food ok buffet. told where to sit. hotel needs some tidying up especially the garden area--very messy. good for what it was -a place to stay while visiting area. nothing around to do at night.

Attended for an afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary. The restaurant area was empty (bar us) from arrival time until we left. Absolutely no atmosphere. The room overlooked the car parking area, was tired in decor with some horrible paintings on the wall and was as basic as could be - no flowers or table decorations or anything that would add anything “nice” to the area - it looked basically like a conference centre. The only entertainment was the overhearing of phone conversations at the check in desk where someone had become trapped in their room. Due to the empty venue, service was awkward - you could see the serving staff coming from 20 ft away and you didn’t know whether to stop eating or to carry on and pretend you hadn’t noticed them yet and neither did they. The worst area was the toilets - the entrance door painted a sage colour was filthy with fingerprints. Mould behind taps, black soot like substance around the hinges, stained ceilings, cobwebs at the back of the toilets. Grubby and desperately in need of an overhaul and jolly good clean. The afternoon tea - the sandwiches were nice - one had dried out bread but still 8/10 as flavours were nice. Scones 5/10 - homemade yes, but crunchy from reheating in air fryer, cakes - all long life and pretty tired looking - muffin, flapjack (wet on underside?), red velvet - rock hard and stale - couldn’t cut it so inedible, a fruit/caramel tarte that was bitter? Not nice I’m afraid 1/10. In short, decor tired and depressing, location in terms of within hotel was poor - no view of garden just cars, food - poor, atmosphere non existent. Don’t waste your time here! We did complain to the venue but received a generic response stating how we had not raised any issues when asked on the day - we weren’t asked or we would have. They did not address any concerns at all and got our names wrong!
