If the guest does not notify the front desk, the hotel staff will not enter the room to clean and tidy up. I very much agree with this approach, which is environmentally friendly and does not hinder the daily life of the guests.

The room was clean and well presented . Check in was made more difficult as the screen did not work for both ourselves and others which meant waiting for a receptionist to man the desk. She was polite and efficient. The breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we paid for parking on a nearby street . This turned out to be cheeped than the multi story car park even when the discount was applied
Overall we were pleased with our two night stay in St Albans. This was the fourth forth hotel we stayed at and was certainly the best of the bunch

Do not book this hotel on a weekend night unless you like listening to base notes of house music till 03.30 We were upgraded to premier plus however that meant we were feet away from nightclub. Who put a hotel next to a nightclub? Or who was allowed to open a nightclub next to a night club?? Read tripadvisor review before booking hotels.

When we tried to check in early we were told this was not possible, not an issue but the way were told was, no apology, jus a very curt dismissal from a most disinterested young man. Secondly the smell both in reception and the lifts, probably stale cigarette smoke, but whatever not a good first impression.

I initially tried to book at a rival hotel. They had an issue with my payment process and after I phoned them (cost £13!), they said that my pending payment would take 4-5 days to clear. I didn't. Booked with Premier Inn using same card, no problems at all. I am so glad that I did. Great hotel, friendly staff. Quiet room and comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast

We had great service from Callum who looked after us very well. He checked us in and served our drinks and was happy to chat with us !!!! Great service ,comfy bed and room ,also the location was ideal for a trip to St Albans.Would highly recommend .

Very disappointing stay here. Mouldy smell in hotel as soon as you walk in. Given a very dirty room with broken air con panel, then moved to another awful room with broken air con, rubbish shower with no power and no WiFi code offered during our stay. Would not stay here again.

Hotel location is brilliant. Stayed in standard room, very disappointing and not of the standard we expected as a frequent Premier Inn customer. Room tired, carpet stained and dirty, bathroom also very tired. In definite need of an upgrade. Background noise throughout the night. Having had a long day we were tired and not up to complaining or asking for a room change.
