Kennedy House

Staying at Kennedy House was like being at home. Moe was terrific; always making sure we had everything we needed and suggesting things to do and places to see. Julie, Tara and Margo were fantastic servers and always had a smile on their faces. Thanks for everything.

After a long day of driving up from Portland (flew from Florida) we arrived at 6 pm And were immediately greeted by a friendly face at the front desk. We had reserved our room about 2 weeks in advance. We were told we were the last guests to arrive and they’d been waiting for us and had a special room for us! Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking Water Street and we could see the water in the bay across the way. There was a very cute balcony right in front of our room and a larger one to the left. These were accessible to anyone, and fortunately no one else decided to venture out there so we had it to ourselves. The furniture in our large semi-suite was like that of a B&B. Gorgeous! There was a kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave and coffee machine. There was a sitting area at the foot of the long bed—both were very comfortable! The sheets were super soft. Morning coffee on the balcony with the quiet street was just what we needed! There was a bit of an issue with controlling the hot/cold water in the shower. Checkout was worry-free and we can’t wait to go back. No breakfast was offered and we ate at a different restaurant for dinner.

My room is dated to the 1970’s at best. No air conditioner no phone to contact the desk…. No WiFi that I could find. Window that can be opened for air is on a deck attached to many rooms…. As a single woman traveling alone I didn’t feel safe leaving it open. Such an uncomfortable situation.

Very noisy. The people in the other room beside me partied till 2:30 am. Disappointed in the food. I had ordered a steak and asked it to be medium well done and I received a steak that was not cooked and a lot of fat that I could not eat. My food was cold by the time it came to the table. I stay in Saint Andrews at quite a few places. This is my first time at the Kennedy and the last. I understand it’s an older hotel, but it does need some upkeep. The redo of the restaurant is very nice.

I always feel at home there. Friendly staff always make it a pleasurable time. Beautiful community!

The Kennedy Inn was comfortable clean and quiet. We were very surprised to see so many downstairs enjoying a meal out Friday night because we couldn’t hear them at all. Needed a comfortable place to stay while taking in some bball. A great place to stay with a cost that didn’t break the bank.

Easy check in, a good meal and great location.

We were looking for a nice quiet place to spend the weekend and the Kennedy House provided this. Very charming and a great restaurant.

What a wonderful place to stay. Was visiting family around the Calais Maine area and only had a couple of choices in the area. Wasn’t crazy about them due to the reviews. I could have drove 40 plus minutes to machias and paid 60 dollars more a night or drive 30 minutes to the Kennedy house . I chose the Kennedy house and very happy I did. The off season price for the room was very affordable, wonderful staff and service from moe . First the food was excellent, beer was good and the room was CLEAN and bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here while in Canada
