Dined here with friends service was ok but some menu items not available, they ran out and this was early evening ,ordered fish and chips very heavy batter possibly to bulk the fish up as it was a very small fillet and the chips were cold and dry and at £18 a head not worth the money in fact nearly everyone that had chips left them, then dessert, again items not available and it took so long to serve up they deleted them off the bill and the restaurant was only 20% full, I don`t know how they would have coped if they were busy. Overall a poor experience and would not recommend

I had a wonderful stay, a lovely comfortable room with excellent facilities. All the staff were most helpful & friendly, and the ambience delightful which all contributed to a relaxing and happy stay The food was delicious, a good selection, The crevettes with saffron saffron sauce, was especially delicious. I am already looking forward to my next visit, and recommending it to my family, and friends

As a regular Visitor to the Rashleigh, once again, I was not disappointed ! A warm welcome, friendly & helpful staff, beautiful room with a view and to top it all the sun came out too ☀️ Breakfasts were amazing but the only disappointment this time was that many dishes had run out in the evening

I have stayed here lots of times in the past. The view from my room in T'Gallants was beautiful with views of the harbour and out to sea. Parking was free and there is ample parking in the car park. Room was well equipped and comfortable, only down side was the bathroom size and toilet which is a tight squeeze for a larger person

We had a wonderful room at the top of the guest house. The bed was really comfortable and the view from the window of the harbour was fantastic. The bathroom was definitely a bit basic for the £185 nightly cost - which took a bit of the shine off the experience. The real disappointment for us was the pub itself. We are regulars at various St Austell pubs and we were shocked by the appalling service. In the evening, we struggled to get any table service, the team seemed to be focused on chatting at the check in desk. The staff seemed incredibly unhappy and this definitely reflected in every interaction, we felt like a burden and nuisance rather than people who were paying for service, food and drinks. It was got worse the following morning when we had our breakfast, we had to wait for an hour for our breakfast with many people being served ahead of us. Operationally, it was rather heinous to witness, clearly the management have issues with motivating staff and there was certainly no accountability for service standards or zones being serviced. Many of the staff would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time. To be honest we were pretty baffled by it all.

Lovely place to stay, only comment to make is that the 'double' bed is 2 twin beds pushed together. The menu is excellent, definitely recommend the Fish & Chips. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. The Harbor is a good place to spend the day and evening plus there are lots of beaches within walking distance.

From the moment we arrived we received an excellent welcome and friendly efficient service. The room was exactly as advertised and the bed very comfortable. The service and food at breakfast and in the restaurant was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will certainly return again

Our third stay, and the reason we come back is the great staff and service, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Hope to be back again soon!
