There are several good things about this old-fashioned B and B in a great location. Joan is very welcoming. Our room was clean and had tea and coffee making set up.There were extra pillows if needed. Breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful with cold cereals, yogurt and juice available as well. Breakfast served from 8:30 to 9:00 or so. Our room was quite small on the first floor up a set of steep stairs. The shower was very tiny but water pressure ok. Towels were very basic but did the job. Toiletries are small packets—nothing fancy but basically adequate. Like others, we would have preferred not to have carpeting in the bathroom, but again this is an older accommodation. There is no parking on site or on the street in front. There is a public lot 2 blocks away for pay. It is 1 pound per hour daylight hours. Sort of a hassle having to run down in the morning. We found it quiet most of the time. Some people on street late at night but it didn’t last long. We did not have a view of the cathedral which was probably quieter. This was very adequate for a one night stay. At 105 pounds, we should not have expected too much.

Stayed on 2 separate occasions at Glendower through August and September. Really impressed at this traditional B&B the rooms were comfortable and above all clean. The top floor rooms 8&9 have stunning views across the cathedral, Bishops Palace and out toward the sea - nice to sit and have a hot chocolate to view the sunset. You get a decent breakfast always served efficiently and with a smile. It’s good to know St David’s has a top notch B&B at its heart. Ps no parking but always managed on the pebbles.

Very Good

Glendower is in a central location in St Davids, so great for walking to the cathedral, shops, pubs and cafes and I was also able to walk to three nearby beaches and also along the coastal path. I had booked but arrived in the evening and had a warm welcome. The ensuite room was comfortable and cosy with tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. The shower was hot and good pressure and I had a good night's sleep. The view of the cathedral from the window was a bonus. I had a delicious breakfast and my coeliac disease (gluten free) was well catered for with g/f cereal and bread. There was also yogurt and fruit available. I had a well cooked breakfast with juice and plenty of coffee. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They also very kindly let me leave my rucksack during the day which enabled me to explore without a big heavy bag. Thank you so much.

Location: Very central, but still quiet. We had a great view of the cathedral. Good bus connection to White Sands. Room in the attic: Clean, large bathroom, because of the sloping roof you can't stand in the shower. Overall the B&B seemed a bit worn. Owner/staff: Very friendly. Breakfast: Good.
