Alister Guest House

The room was very clean. Flexible check-in and out. We arrived there very early morning, hoping to leave our luggage, but Hakim, the owner, let us have the room instead. We really appreciate it because we left our home at 4am and were so exhausted. WiFi was good too. My friend and I had to work remotely for a few hours on our checkout day, so we did it in a waiting room(shared space) with cosy sofas. and there was no problem with WiFi. About 10 mins walk to the town centre and a small local shop (Morrisons) is within 3 min walk. Overall, we’d like to thank Hakim for a warm welcome!
Hotel De Normandie

Very good living experience, although the location is a bit far from the city center, but the price is also corresponding to the affordable point, and the facilities, environment, service are good, there is a supermarket next to it, the sea is opposite the road, very quiet. Also bring a bar. Recommended ~

Visited this hotel as a large group- celebration on Sunday who mostly had a roast dinner. We then went into the bar area for drinks which again we was well catered for. This hotel is fabulous from the food to the attentive and helpful staff members - you should be so proud of the customer service they deliver If you visit Jersey try this hotel and eat there you will not be disappointed Thankyou all for making our family celebration amazing
The Inn Jersey

I have deliberately split this into two and ideally would have given this overall a 3.5 rating. Food wise it is a 4 all the way. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and the quality and portion size were very good, the wine was reasonably priced and the service good. The breakfasts were promptly served with a good choice especially on the cooked side. Hotel wise is a 3. We asked to move rooms as we didn't want to be next to the terrace on the ground floor and this was accommodated. The room we ended up in was very clean and the bed was comfortable with everything you need. The tea tray was well stacked. The downside is the general decor and furnishings. Clearly all the money has gone on the downstairs and it just needs some TLC. All the staff outside the restaurant were pleasant enough but nothing to rave about as have seen with other reviews. We would come again as the walk to town was only 15 mins but it would be hard to stay in winter as the fan was needed to mask the road noise.
Apollo Hotel

I have spent some time looking over the reviews for this hotel & find my review lies somewhere in the middle of these. Pros -excellent wi-fi connection -loved indoor pool & jacuzzi (I went around 830 every morning) -friendly bar man. Bar area reminded me of an old library -balcony was a good idea as could unwind after a day sight-seeing -tea/coffee-making facilities -dated but I rather liked the 80s vibe! Cons -didn't opt for breakfast as felt £10 supplement a bit steep -2 single beds pushed together to make double bed -quite a few stairs (but has small lift) -lack of pool supervision I didn't make use of the outdoor pool but the indoor pool was warm (I recommend using the jacuzzi afterwards as felt freezing going into the pool after the jacuzzi!). The lack of pool supervision did concern me slightly as who would know it anyone got into difficulty? There was a heavily pregnant lady there for a while one morning with a toddler, not ideal if someone needed help in the water! The changing room was very small with no window so change quickly! Only 1 shower also! I brought a small towel from my room for my hair (in addition to one you get when you sign into the pool). I was glad I had the foresight to upgrade to a superior room which I definately think enhanced my stay. Our room was bright & clean & I slept well. Some noise from stomping upstairs but didn't trouble me too much. Very close to town so that was a bonus. Despite the bar man plugging the pizza place next door we gave it a miss; never looked like any customers went there. We had a meal in the Indian Ocean nearby & it was delicious! Quite a few steps so not for the very elderly or wheelchair users, I'm quite young but have knee problems so I made slow progress up steps & into the lift! This was my first trip to Jersey so although the Apollo was not bad at all I would probably stay somewhere like the picturesque St Aubin nearby next time. Lots of comments about rude staff; I didn't really notice that; lady at swimming pool very quiet (when she was there). Bar man from Kenya very lovely; we had a nightcap for 2 nights running just to have a chat with him.
Premier Inn Jersey St Helier (Charing Cross)
3.8/541 Reviews
Richard and team ( sorry, I didn’t get the two girls’ names) were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful when we stayed at Premier Inn, Charing Cross, St Helier. We had come over from Glasgow for a couple of nights and nothing was too much trouble. They also all seemed to be very hard working. The room was nice and spacious and well located. Felt bad about leaving some rubbish beside the bin ( we chose not to have our room cleaned for the 2 nights). The bathroom/ shower was a good size. Only tiny bit of feedback I would give is that there was a little rust at the soap dispensers. However, the room was very comfortable, spacious, quiet and clean which was great. Will recommend this hotel to my parents who are thinking of coming to St Helier at some point. Thank you again to Richard and team for a very enjoyable stay here.
