As other reviewers have suggested this is not really a hotel as you cannot get a meal in the evening and there are no staff in the building after 7pm. Is the 4 star status self-styled? I think the rating system is different in France. Nothing too significant to add to the pros and cons described by other guests. Pros: there is an excellent pool (water a little cold still in early summer) and a spacious area beside it for lounging; also a delightful seating area to sit and eat breakfast outside. Cons: there was some traffic noise, though it was not too intrusive. All the roads were busier than I expected around here. Until the last morning of our stay, when some nectarines and apricots appeared, the fresh fruit available at breakfast was uninspiring. Disappointing when you see the beautiful fruit for sale round about. The property was a short drive from town and we found some handy free parking about half way. A walk all the way would be possible but would be along main roads for a good part. We stayed in a junior suite which had its own entrance to the side of the main building. There was no doorway to the main building itself and although the room was good it had perhaps a slight chalet type feel because of this. There was a small private space outside the room enclosed by a hedge but the area lacked the atmosphere of the main outside seating area described above. My only real criticism is that for me the price of a stay was just too high for what was on offer. There was no discount for a multiple night stay (as you are likely to get in a hotel), and even though I can gauge this is not a cheap part of the world to stay in, overall I felt the property did not quite live up to the price tag it came with.
