The hotel was down a dark lane with a bumpy road, nevertheless it was easy to find, although as I arrived late and the hotel was fully booked the front car park was full, although having a small car I was able to squeeze in near the bushes, the car park lighting wasn't brilliant but sufficient. The receptionist was very nice and I was allocated a ground floor room as requested. The room was immaculate, and the bed was well made and clean, and the bathroom was spotless too, I never find beds that suit me to be honest as I do like a soft mattress but saying that although the bed was firmish it was ok. I stayed last time I came to area in the Borehamwood branch and the Bricket Wood branch was a much better stay as it was quieter, and very clean. I would definitely stay at this Premier Inn on my next vist in the New Year, 10/10 for a budget price.

Warm welcome, smooth check in and free parking. Room was generally clean. The hotel looked a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but, for what we needed (a bed for the night after a long flight) it was just what we needed. Although the restaurant was closed, we were warned in plenty of time of this and there was even a further written apology in the room.

The reason for this review is to flag up the adjacent Moor Mill Beefeater is not really very disability accessible for breakfast. You are seated in a different (allbeit pleasant) room. The food and drink is up a flight of steps. You will need someone to get the continental breakfast for you. We ordered the cooked breakfast straight away then ate the continental while waiting, which worked well as there was quite a delay.

Stayed as visiting Harry Potter world for our child’s birthday. Ideal location. Unfortunately, as you will see from the pictures below cleanliness was an issue. We report it as soon as we saw it, taking the human hair straight down to reception. They gave us a card and told us to ring guest relations on Monday and apologized stating some of the cleaning staff were new. It impacted our sleep as our child has ASD and is particular about germs and cleaning. Unfortunately, she stood on the human hair and it took ages for her to calm down and settle. Those of you who have experience of autism will know how strong triggers can be. Rang guest relations, staff very professional and polite. They said they could not resolve it straight away as would need to speak to the hotel directly. We gave them a time stamp of when my husband went down to reception as they had CCTV. I did not receive a call back so rang over a week later to give time to respond and was told the hotel had said the ‘room had been serviced.’ We were then told cleanliness is not part of the good night guarantee. All we were offered was a 39 pound goodwill gesture. To say we are disappointed with Premier Inn’s policy and pride in their service is an understatement. We were not valued or taken seriously.

When I checked was advised the attached Beefeater restaurant was closed and therefore unable to provide either evening meal or breakfast, whist I had booked bed, breakfast, and evening meal - only the bed was supplied, as a didn't have a car the receptionist suggested order via Uber eats and eat in my room, however was unable to supply cutlery. Would have expected an email advising they had no catering before I arrived to allow me to find an alternative location.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and just what I needed for my weekend stay to see friends. The breakfast service and amenities is another story!!!!! Paid for hot breakfast for all 3 mornings I was there. Went on Saturday morning to be met with the most disgusting customer service I have ever encountered. Was told could have got food as chef off sick and he was by himself! There was no juices or crockery when I asked for some was tutted at and told to sit down and he would get them when he could. When I asked if I could speak to someone regarding this was told he was the duty manager and if I had a problem to contact head office. His customer service skills were appalling. Sunday breakfast was problem free and the server was great. Monday comes and “duty manager” is back and the attitude starts again. Was told I could sit in a particular place because he was by myself again. When I mentioned that other people were sitting in that area was told “Do what you want” but it will take ages to get breakfast.

Not enough staff waiting on in the restaurant and at breakfast the chef didn’t come in at all so no cooked breakfast.

Stayed here the night. Although not well signposted and problems outside the control of Premier Inn due to road closures we did not arrive in best frame of mind. Road up to hotel not terribly well maintained and grounds needed bit of tidying. Despite all this staff were excellent, hotel very clean and bed extremely comfy. Beefeater opposite in an old mill. Again great staff and service and food very good and reasonable in price.

Tried to book an evening meal automated system said fully booked got in via reception but it was empty. Car park was full of rubbish an overflowing skip bin bin and a van covered with tarp. Not very inviting but actually ok….. just odd!
