近鉄長谷寺駅から徒歩15分、長谷寺の門前町中ほどに旅館「大和屋」があります。牡丹の見ごろも終わりに近い5月の連休中に長谷寺に参拝。帰りに門前町中ほどにある旅館の食堂にランチに寄りました。にゅう麺付きのうなぎ定食がなんと１，５５０円が本日２００円引き１，３５０円となっていました。胡麻豆腐に山菜煮物も付いておりましてビール（中ビン５５０円）のおつまみにもなりました。うなぎは煮鰻でそれなりでしたが値段が値段ですからね、こんなものでしょう。

お店の前を歩いていたら勧誘されたので入ってみました。たけのこご飯付きそうめんを定食で。セットより300円アップになりますが、野菜の炊き合わせと小さいですが鮎の甘露煮が付きます。普通に美味しいといった感じでしたが、野菜の炊き合わせとそうめんに入っていた*焼きは特によかったです。旅館のようですが、昼間はランチの提供を行っているようです。気軽にその地方の味わいも感じられてよかったです。

長谷寺に１番近い宿。建物は古いですがよく管理されていました。夫婦で宿泊しました。部屋の入口は襖ですが、内側から鍵が掛けられますから安心です。食事は地鶏のすき焼き風鍋が大変おいしかったです。量的には食べきれず残してしまいました。お風呂は２・３人ではいれる綺麗なお風呂です。トイレはウオシュレットで綺麗です。また宿泊したい宿です。
