Salalah Rotana Resort

Good property but cleanliness need to taken care of. Lighting in room could be better. Perfect ambience for family vacation.

I had an amazing time at Salalah Rotana, we enjoyed the beach and the hotel facilities, amazing rooms, clean, spacious with amazing views within the resorts, you can open the window and hear the sound of the ocean’s waves all day. I look forward to visiting again soon.

We went to the hotel with high expectations as it is a Rotana hotel, but unfortunately we decided to check out after only 1 night of our 4 night stay, as the whole family disliked the hotel. The setting of the hotel is stunning, and when you first arrive it looks great, but it is actually a very tired hotel lacking love and attention. The pool area was especially disappointing, as the online pictures were good - after only 30 minutes the girls wanted to leave - water too hot, soulless and overall not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The rooms were little better - tired, damp and dark - even the lift to the room was tired. I am a person who is quick to praise a hotel and team, but on this occasion there isn't too much positive to write about, even the evening buffet was disappointing. In deciding to check out early I spoke to the receptionist and asked to speak to the manager, who never appeared to speak to me, so we moved hotels and will not be returning - all started so promising as we drove into the hotel grounds but it went downhill after that!
