The hotel is Located in the heart of the city just a very short walk to the plaza mayor and then too the other major sites. At check in the staff were just so friendly and helpful check in was efficient and quick. The room we had was very big with great views over the square and the market and it’s beautiful stained glass windows. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The food at breakfast was varied and good quality. My only complaint would be that the coffee from the machine was very weak and not very nice. I am a coffee snob and like a good coffee in the morning. Otherwise everything was wonderful and we would definitely recommend this place to everyone and if we are ever in Salamanca again we would definitely come back to this hotel.

This hotel is ok due to its position - literally 20m behind the square. There is a great self use laundary right opposite the hotel - 5 meters! Unfortunately, our room had a bit of a smell, and this hotel does not provide any extras. No slippers, no hot water jug, no coffee, etc. Reception has a coffee machine, but you have to purchase the pods! Our room was really cold. We were told the AC was off. They said I could come to reception to get a heater if it was really cold. When I got there, the manager said he would ”turn it on.” Went back to the room, and it started working! Very weird indeed. Saving costs? Shower in bath. Bit slippey as no antislip mat. Take care! Staff were ok.

I spent one night at this hotel. It is in a great location, within walking distance to Plaza Mayor and a grocery store just around the corner. The rooms are small, but adequate. The beds only have one non fluffy pillow and the bed itself reminds me of a cot. The bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my dietary needs for dinner and breakfast. The decor is a bit gaudy with chandeliers everywhere, but I didn’t mind it.

The location of the hotel is good, suitable for self-driving, just park the parking space in the hotel's surrounding wall. The Carrefour hypermarket near the opposite, easy to purchase, not too far to drive to the attractions, the room type is relatively new, and the breakfast with the reservation is also very good .

The layout and location of the hotel are very good, the ancient buildings of Salamanca are nearby. After dinner at the hotel in the evening, we can see the beautiful scenery by walking outside.
The food in the hotel restaurant is also delicious. It is exquisite, and the price is not expensive compared to Hong Kong. We ate a black haired pig, which was really soft and crispy on the outside. It is worth trying next time.

If you like the historical aspect, this is an old monastery or convent that has been repurposed as a hotel in the university city of Salamanca. It has a huge courtyard on a steep, but walkable, hill and is attached to other historical buildings. The room itself is large and comfortable with excellent beds and pillows. We had a French balcony that overlooked the cathedral and has a fridge and safe. The bathroom is very modern, and we loved the plush bath sheets. Though we didn't go down to it, the hotel is very near the river, also within walking distance to the Plaza Major that has lots of cafes but less retail. The whole area is filled with 15th century buildings that are cathedrals, universities or used for student housing. It is a maze of narrow streets and alleys - so besides our guided tour, we did not venture very far from the hotel during our one night stay, though we understand it to be very safe. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding, as you willl note from the pictures. The hotel has a large reception and lobby area that swings around to the breakfast room. The hallways are rather dark, and it is a bit of a maze to find your room. perfect for one night, amid centuries of history.

Booked here last minute on travel through Spain. It has several options which appealed to us: family rooms with kitchenette, pets welcomes, 24 hour check-in, secure parking, walking distance to city centre. There are other options for families with small children but none/few with the above conveniences. The positives: The area is easily reachable with a drop-off in front. Underground, secure parking is right around the corner with direct elevator access to the lobby/rooms. The facilities and rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom was modern with good quality towels. Beds were comfortable. Some other reviewers complained about the distance to the old centre but frankly its 1 km! Come on! If you are using bus transport its right across the street from the bus terminal but its not a big city terminal which usually attracts ”colourful” characters. There's several eating options at the terminal. The underground parking was great in that the spaces were very large and it was secure. The negatives: As we arrived late the garage door was closed and wouldn't open automatically with the parking ticket so my wife had to get out and walk around to the lobby to ask they remotely open it. The air-con was a little noisy. The blind on our window was stuck closed so we couldn't let any daylight in, but we were just there for sleeping and bathing. The furniture is nothing special but functional.

The hotel has its own large car park for easy self-driving tour. The hotel is in an excellent location, overlooking the old town of Salamanca. The hotel restaurant service is very good, the breakfast is rich and the quality is high. The ”Spanish sirloin” in the local dinner set is full of heat and meat, which is worthy of special recommendation. The hotel lobby and room cleaning service maintains the brand's consistently high standard and is satisfactory.

Outstanding
We had a very nice room with two beds and a galley kitchen and laundry. 5 minute walk to centre of town. Close to a great grocery store called Gadi. Clean and professionally run hotel. Good AC which is key in the summer. The street is quiet and the windows are solid so you don't hear noise. I think it's run by a guy who owns a few of these around Spain but they're high quality. You check in by getting texted a code to the room and then when you get in, you have cards to open after that. You have to be sure to tap the card carefully in the right spot to open the door, but it's not a problem at all. Price was decent. We went in June.
Very good and clean hotel, just steps away from the beautiful Plaza Mayor. Rooms are spacious and convenient. There's a small kitchen that we didn't use but could be helpful. Staff was super friendly. Parking is available just a few minutes by foot (you have to leave your car key as the cars are parked in double rows). Breakfast was good, breakfast room is very small though. Recommended for a city trip or stopover.
GGuest UserLovely breakfast, great location, spotlessly clean. Parking is underground and we sweated a bit over our 4x4 but managed fine. Very pleasant and great value.
GGuest UserWe stayed three nights. Great location, close to all the sights. Reception staff are excellent. We were greeted every time we came into reception. Housekeeping staff do a great job. Everywhere was spotless. The rooms are big and well appointed. There is a safe and a fridge. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was very big too. The AC, which I am fussy about, was the best I’ve experienced in any hotel. It was practically silent, but it was very effective. Like most hotels, you could hear corridor voices. But here, there is an inner door to the bedroom, so the noise does not travel when that door is closed. Between rooms, I heard very little. Mostly curtains being opened or closed. We had breakfast at the cosy Cafetin Scherzo, around the corner on Gran Via. Their coffee and croissants are the best I’ve had on this trip. We had a lovely lunch at the excellent Dominicos nearby, on two occasions. We also stopped in there for tapas on two evenings. We will definitely return to Las Claras.
GGuest UserThe rooms were gigantic. The beds were good. The bathrooms were big and well lit. The hotel is dated and in need of updating. The breakfast price and selections and atmosphere all something to skip. Front desk people very nice. The breakfast room was policed by an unfriendly man whose priority was making sure everyone paid and no one walked out with any food. Very policeman-like guy who ruined our 2 breakfast times.
I thought it was excellent, let's start with a very simple thing, the photos, the internet data, everything is correct. There's no point in getting super cool and finding yourself in a mess. Everything according to instructions. The room/apartment was small, but as I say, it was what they offered and the price was good. If you want a chalet for €50 per night, then no, you pay it. We went with 2 dogs, border collie and schnauzer. More room? Well, it would have been good, but it must also be said that it was more than enough. A vitro with two burners, an oven and a microwave. Fridge, water, the bathroom proportionally larger than the room. All perfect. Super good location, possibility of parking. The reception was not 24 hours a day, nor was it necessary to tell the truth, yes, the lovely girls, all the facilities. The cleaning people are also very nice. They allow dogs, it is appreciated. But also being responsible, most of us try very hard to make sure everything is clean and not bother us in the least. Our behavior with dogs will be judged differently, so we have to be extremely careful. I insist, good location, good price, good service, good apartment. Now for a note, my wife left some not-cheap earrings from Tous among the cushions. They were expensive, and had sentimental value. They found them and sent them to us by mail. Few things are better than that. Thank you very much. But Many.
It was such an enjoyable stay at this hotel because our bedroom was beautiful and spacious. The views from our window were fabulous. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was nice but it has room for improvement in terms of choices of menu. Fabulous hotel and we will definitely return.
there was no free table for breakfast at 10 am on sunday, we waited. Two tables were vacated, cleaned up and Spanish guests who came after us, were assigned the tables and we were told to keep waiting. ”Espera!” we wanted to complain to the reception, and the gentleman only gave us the tip to come earlier, as breakfast already started at 8 o'clock. I tried to speak to the manager, but he said there wouldn't be one. And suddenly, he was on holiday and we didn't have the right to speak to him anyway. The women from the breakfast service were making signs among themselves as if we were crazy. Mrs Monica deliberately bumps into the chair of my fellow travellers as they walk past and then looks belligerent instead of apologising. I have been travelling to Spain for years and I have never encountered such unfriendliness
GGuest UserI have to start by saying that this hotel was in an ideal location to walk around what is an absolutely beautiful city. The issue that I have with it is that we booked here as it advertised parking. The warning I would give is that the small print then states that this is situated elsewhere and is chargeable. We booked whilst still on the road and when we arrived we struggled to find the hotel as it’s not really accessible by vehicle. We ended driving up an ‘authorised vehicles only’ road just to get to it. We were then told that they had no parking and were given a map with the two nearest locations of public car parks. (The receptionist was very patient as I was none too happy at this point due to being on the road for the better part of an entire day). The issue was that there was an Easter celebration event and we spent nearly an hour then driving around trying to find somewhere to park. The room was nice but was overly hot. Due to it being their winter the AC was only kicking out hot air albeit it had been 27c during the day. The window wouldn’t close properly which normally would be good due to the heat but the noise was unbearable. People were out drinking and celebrating till nearly 5am and then the refuse collection started around 7.30am even though it was Easter Sunday. Maybe some of these issues are not directly the fault of the hotel but thought it best to mention them. Great location but beware the noise and poor access for vehicles. The staff were kind and patient and went out of their way to help us.
