Hotels near Ecoparque the Mirador and Alto de la Cruz, Salento

My girlfriend and I stayed at El Mirador Del Cocora for three nights during our visit to Salento and highly recommend it. First, the positives. The views are absolutely breathtaking. This hotel offers the best view in Salento; it’s like having your own private mirador. There’s nothing better than waking up to such stunning scenery. As for the amenities, we booked the Deluxe Double Room with a Bath (room 104), which featured an indoor jacuzzi with the same perfect view. Enjoying a cold beer from the minibar while soaking in the hot tub was a highlight. The room also had air conditioning, although it wasn’t necessary as Salento gets quite chilly at night. Additionally, the service at the hotel is impeccable. The staff are incredibly friendly, constantly checking in on how you’re doing and eager to help with even the smallest questions or needs. Now, the downsides. The WiFi signal in our room was poor, so we had to rely on our mobile network, which was disappointing. The breakfast was subpar compared to other hotels we stayed at during our trip. Another small issue is the hotel’s location. The Amazing view comes with a price. The hotel is situated at the top of the town, which means a climb every time you go out and return. It’s not a deal breaker but requires some planning. In summary, despite these minor issues, I still wholeheartedly recommend El Mirador Del Cocora. We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff are the nicest people, and the views are gorgeous.

This is a sweet boutique hotel a few streets up from the main drag in Salento with an excellent restaurant Quindu on site that I had lunch, breakfast and drinks at. What amazed me most about my experience here, though, is that a wonderful person named Natalia found my wallet here when I must have accidentally dropped it, cleaning out my backpack from a hike, and tracked me down to get it back to me! I just really appreciate the honesty and integrity of this woman and I have a forever good feeling about this place because of the good people that work here. I booked this hotel for 4 nights because hotels.com said it was 9.2 superb. The positive are the people working there the owner and the 3 woman and night watchman they will help you with anything laundry tours driver, another positive is the view. Very nice balcony with view of mountains, they do offer a nice breakfast with fresh fruit from the trees on the property. Strong wifi. The room has 2 beds tv small refrigerator small safe and a small desk with chair. To get to your room there is a steep gravel incline you must carry your suitcase to get to room. If you have heavy luggage or a lot if it. It is hard. No restaurant or food on property other than they serve breakfast in your room to eat on the balcony. (Small surcharge) There are other small little problems but they are manageable. I feel bad putting in these review because the people were so nice. But the most important thing is this is a basic room. Not 5stars or excellent. Would I stay there probably not because I would want to be closer to the center of town. I would pay more and make sure I got more luxuries in a hotel. If your looking for a basic room with a view outside of town at a very cheap price this is your place. Good luck. Owner has a very good restaurant in town cocina horno a couple doors down from police station. We highly recommend it.
