Hotels near Cala Crancs, Salou

On arrival check in fine but the couple next to us were being relocated due to overbooking. We didn't get much info your just meant to find and figure everything out yourself. Rooms are no way fit for more than 2 adults 1 small child. We had two kids and it's far too small for space and beds. Having two small doubles pushed together is not ideal at all. Staff weren't the friendliest this seemed to be the theme throughout always looked confused when id ask the most simple stuff. Restaurant staff seemed to be the worst no hello etc and when I was short changed by 10 euro before I can ask if that was right she raised her hand and said next (I asked the greeter on way out she said she thought I had been short changed as she was the one handling cash so gave me it back) Honestly no idea where the entertainment where. Unless your up at 10.00pm when a show is scheduled I honestly saw someone once. We tried to visit the mini club but it was a room with sofas and books and one guy on a laptop from the team so bit confused didn't try again. Food was nice I didn't think it was repetitive at all. Obviously the salad bar, bread and pasta sections can't change much but the hot stuff and show cooking was different every night. Dessert were all sickly sweet stuff weren't the best. Breakfast was our favourite lovely fresh baked pastry, fry up items, eggs cooked to order and unlimited hot and fresh drinks to. Pool area was great and spotless the cleaners all around the hotel do a great job! They are friendly too! Plenty space and sun loungers. The pool tables inside make a nice edition we enjoyed a game or two. Location is good 15 min walk to main shops but supermarket on corner next to hotel is fab. The bus plana gentleman is very helpful across the road we booked a few things with him great price!! Flawless trip to Barcelona. Water park closed due to 'bad weather forecast ' ended up being bright and sunny no issues so that was a let down now hoping for refund. Would deffo come back to salou but different hotel if there is anything better.

My husband and I had a week away from Barcelona staying at this adults only hotel. The reception staff were all friendly but especially Bea who was extremely helpful with things to go and see whilst we were here as the weather was not the best. Rooms were really nice, clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, but the pillows not so comfy. Could have done with a table on the balcony too. Breakfast was a good choice with the option to order freshly cooked too and the staff were friendly and kept the place ticking over nicely. The spa was a bit of a disappointment as it only has steam room and sauna and a jacuzzi for 8 people, so we only used once and the games room was not available durin the week due to conference. Fortunately we had our own cards and dominoes. Overall a good visit to Salou, where we visited Cambrils, Tarragona, Reus and Sama Park out of tourist season. I am sure it would be buzzing come Easter onwards. Thanks to the Magnolia Team for the great overall service.

We have been staying at this hotel for almost 8 years now. The pool area is beautiful and the location is ideal for us. The staff are fantastic, we always get such a lovely welcome whenever we arrive. We arrived at the hotel one week after they re-opened for the season and were very surprised to find out how busy they already were. I have never seen such queues for the restaurant in all my years. They have started a new policy of personally seating everyone before returning to assist the next people in the queue, this has definitely had an affect on the growing queue system. I think they either need to add more seating in the restaurant to deal with the volume of people or extend the breakfast and dinner times, which may reduce the queue issue. If it's this busy in My, I dread to think what it will be like in July! The food was just okay, definitely not worth the 30 minute wait to get into the restaurant, and then further queues for the grilling and omelette station when you get in there! They have stopped doing the fresh orange juice, the speciality (themed) section and the food truck which is disappointing (this might have something to do with it being low season). When I was there in October, there were quite a few things broken, tiles, bathroom doors etc which is expected after a busy season but I was surprised to see that these things were still not fixed while they were closed. There have been a lot of staff changes throughout they years, it's always sad to see some of your favourite staff leave but its great to meet the new staff too. We found out that a lot of last years animation team like Dani, Arian and Julio were moved to their sister hotel across the road so we did sneak over there a few times to say hi. The hotel itself is a great and it is fantastic value for money but it's just not what it used to be. It certainly has the potential to be the number 1 family hotel in Salou again but the rooms need to be upgraded, improve the layout of the restaurant and add more tables, they should bring back the themed nights in the restaurant, bring back the special treat stall outside the restaurant when you are leaving (popcorn/candyfloss, sweets, chocolate fountain etc). It's the little extras that can make a nice stay a fantastic one.

Returned home today after a week long stay at CYE Holiday Centre. This was our second time here having previously visited in 2022 with our then 4 year old. This time we had a 6 year old and 9 month old also! We stayed from Wednesday 11/9 to Wednesday 18/9 We had an early flight from Dublin and arrived at the Hotel somewhere around 11 or 11.30am local time. Having previously been advised that check in was 5pm, I was prepared to wait knowing we could still use the facilities, however, apartment 126 on the first floor was ready for us so we were happy with that. I had requested a higher floor apartment and this could be accommodated if I wanted to wait until approximately 2-3pm but we were eager to get in and get unpacked so the first floor was fine and in the end it was ideal as my husband and son could hear me if I needed to shout to them when they were at the pool and vise versa! The accommodation itself was spotless. Our one bedroom apartment was ideal for the 4 of us. We hired a cot for our 9 month old for €6 per night. It was a great sturdy white cot with wheels and not just a typical travel cot. There was 2 single beds together in the bedroom. 2 sofa beds in the living room and a pull down bed just inside the door. A one bedroom apartment would definitely accommodate 5. We paid extra for the superior apartment so as to have a pool view and it was more than worth the money for us personally. Was really lovely to wake up and walk out to the balcony in the morning overlooking the pool and see everyone coming and going and starting their day. Apartment is equipped with kettle, toaster, coffee machine (superior only as far as I know), microwave and 2 hobs for pots and pans. All cutlery and crockery is provided. Our towels were changed once in the 7 days and beds were made and bin emptied every day. The housekeeping staff were all lovely. All staff were very nice and approachable, particularly Monique who checked us in. Pedro and the other lady on entertainment do a great job at getting everyone involved during the day and again at night time. Whilst the entertainment might not be of the same quality as larger resorts, it suited us perfectly and our son loved it. In terms of age groups, I’d say it was very mixed here. A lot of families but families with smaller kids like ourselves. Upon speaking to other holiday goers, they had been coming to cye for a long time but felt as though they may move on elsewhere next year as their kids are older now and I could understand their point. Whilst I’ve no doubt they’d still enjoy their holiday, I would imagine teens would find it somewhat boring as entertainment is very much aimed at either adults only or younger kids maybe 2-10/11 but that’s just my opinion. If I can offer anyone advice, it's to please shop at the local Mercadona behind the hotel in the old town and avoid Michelangelo. The difference in pricing is crazy! Mercadona is like a small aldi/lidl while michealangelo is like your local Spar, he

Good location to shops, beach & restaurants. The hotel itself was clean & pleasant. Breakfast was good selection. Beds are a little to hard so was fine for short visit but wouldn’t recommend for long period. The worst was having no control over air conditioning, I appreciate it is April but we should be able to control our own temperature & it was just hot air. Not overly comfortable sleeping with balcony door open but had to to get air. For that reason I wouldn’t return.

The hotel is located between Taragona and Salo, close to the main theme park of Adventure Port and Ferrari Theme Park, 5 minutes drive. Clean and beautiful environment and comfortable sleep. There are many special restaurants downstairs.

On Monday, March 7, we were staying with my family and I in this hotel and we had an incidence with the bathroom as it was fully attached, with all that it involves having children. With the aggravating of being almost morning (7 of the morning) , the two employees who attended us did it in a magistral way, resolving the problem in 10 minutes. The receptionist quickly gave us a room card that was empty for if we needed to get into the bathroom, at last it was not necessary to use it, but there is the detail. The cleaner in 5 minutes resolved the attack.

This is quite an innovative place, or at least it seems that way to me. The host, Xavi is a very good multi linguistic chappy and has created this place almost by himself. The rooms are super clean as is the entire building. There is a communal table and chairs downstairs and you can keep your food in a communal fridge, just mark it with your room number. It’s quite central, easy to get to and from anywhere from here in this busking and vibrant micro-city from here. Highly recommended, great value for money. Very deserving of its rating as 3rd best hotel in Tarragona.

Hotel was in a great location, close to the beach, train station and lots of cafes/shops / restaurants. Everything was walkable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - eventhough we speak very limited spanish. Pastries and bottled water were provided each morning and there were tea and coffee facilities in the lobby. The hotel air conditioning was really strong, we never felt too hot overnight and the room was very clean and well presented!

A little bit of luck was sprinkled onto our major road trip to Spain, because finding this gem online made an amazing two days for our family! We were actually scheduled for one night but were so tickled pink that we extended another night. We came at the right time because the price was on point and it wasn't too busy. This could easily be a five star place if there was attention to detail. By that, I can think of a few main points during our stay that just need to be addressed...1) instead of the hassle and delay at checkout, it would have been more customer friendly to have us pay the tourist tax fee for the extra day when we extended our stay and paid for it at check-in. (2.) The pool area is beautiful and obviously takes a lot of time and expense, but it was very obvious that the tile work of the pool needs to be fixed and repaired in many areas. (3) as a tourist, the trash system was very unclear. There were possibilities to separate the glass from the regular trash in some areas on the grounds, but otherwise it looked like everything was just regular trash.....with there being so much plastic trash there should be the yellow container to dispose of plastic trash. With this points, I do want to express that this was a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it to others. I enjoyed the morning workout/dance class that was offered, the playground and children's activities are amazing, pool area was very enjoyable and we appreciate that there was a lifeguard, the view from our room, amenities, easy parking, restaurant on site was appealing (but we cooked in our apartment instead). Thank you for an enjoyable experience near the Mediterranean!
