University Guest House & Conference Center

Everything about our experience at the Guest House was superb! I wish my apartment was this nice. Big, clean spacious rooms with well appointed Kitchen. Bedding was very nice. Closests with extra blankets, pillows, etc. We could have easily spent several weeks here, but only had a few days. Front desk staff were very helpful, and the provided breakfast was quality food- not the usual processed stuff in plastic packages. Eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit. I had business with the University and stayed her on recommendation of staff. Even for a personal trip, not business, I would stay here again. The train goes right by the questhouse for very easy transportation all around SLC- a bonus!

The front desk was very friendly and check-in was a breeze. The room was very comfortable and quiet with very good lighting. The shower was great! The breakfast bar was terrific and was well stocked and the food was very tasty. People were very friendly that we met at the guesthouse and I I know we were all there for the same reason - healthcare.

The Guest House is one of the places that gives a discount for patients of the UofU Hospital. I called and asked for a ADA room, Wheelchair accessible. Upon arrival they did not have one. I was placed in a lg suite. It was a session in frustration. The room was wonderful for a non wheelchair person. I could not get into the shower because of the glass door that opened out. The room had no grab bars anywhere. When I returned home I called the manager so she might know for future customers. Wow was that wrong. She was very unkind and all she could say that my reservation (called in) did not say ADA. Maybe because the person doing it thought they had put me in an ADA room. Well anyway beware. The help seem nice and receptionist could not do anything when we checked in. However the manager does not give a flip how what her employees know about what is in or not in a room. She also told me not to come back.

The University Guest House is one of the nicest places I have ever visited! The rooms are super clean, very comfortable, and efficient. The kitchen area is perfect and extremely functional. I wish the Guest House was available in more cities, it is the only place I would stay!

This is a great place if you are staying at the University of Utah. It's nice for conferences, for which it was designed. It's fairly easy to get to if you follow your phone Map App. The rooms are clean and easy to get to. The breakfast was also good. The bed is great and it was nice to have a fridge, hot plate, and sink. There is no restaurant on site so you have to leave and drive over a mile or more to find someplace to eat but of course, you can have food delivered.

The welcome was endearing after our 8 hour drive from Reno. Cookies, mints and the most perfect shower with chair already in place. The room was clean, temperature at the perfect setting; we felt safe, heavy fireproof door, black-out screen on window. Many quiet sitting areas to choose from throughout the premises, including picturesque snow-capped mountain views. We stayed for 3 nights, in this historical setting established in 1862 (no, the Guest House looks brand new!) and will return to explore the area further since we were busy with medical appointments this time.

Excellent accommodations. Easy Parking and registration. Comfortable beds, the room design was excellent, and this was a nice studio with easy access to the University Hospital. Breakfast offered a great array of items. The guest house was very relaxing making our hospital visit less stressful. Thanks for providing some solitude.

We stayed in a large suite for the Supercross weekend. While the decor was a little bland, the room was great for our purposes. Very clean, quiet, safe, and all the amenities we needed. Check-in staff was polite and helpful. Able to use TRAX to get to/from our event, as well as the airport, with relative ease. But allow extra time if using TRAX for unexpected delays. We planned for an hour to get back to the airport, but were delayed an additional ~25 min which caused a little stress. Good local pizzeria (The Pie Pizzeria) delivery available. Kitchenette with fridge/microwave was a bonus. Breakfast included was nice; comparable to chain hotels that offer complimentary breakfast. If we make it out to the 2025 Supercross or SLC for other reasons, I'd stay at this location again.

We always try to stay at University Guest House when visiting our son who attends University of Utah. It's very conveniently located. The rooms are spacious and always spotless. There's a great little continental breakfast in the morning and plenty of free parking. We have always had a very pleasant stay at the Guest House! Highly recommend!
