If you're looking for somewhere in the heart of downtown, this is it. For the price you pay, the service is great and the room feels spacious. Beds were comfy! Only down side is how the bathrooms were on the smaller end. But otherwise, no complaints!

We stayed here for a national competition since this is one of the Hotels that was sanctioned by the organizers. The lack of service was just apparent from checkin all the way to everyday interaction. When we checked-in, I already felt the lack of appreciation for their guests as I never felt welcome from the get go. I was not acknowledge about being an IHG rewards member and welcomed at the Hotel. I must add though that when buying things in their marketplace, the interaction of charging our things with the front desk was fast and seamless so that is a positive. Also leading to our stay, I did have phone interaction with some of their staff for my reservation and they have been very helpful and accommodating so was surprised with my current experience here. There are no safebox to store some of your valuables and when I asked the front desk I was just told they have none in a lazy way without effort of providing alternatives or if they can help in any other way. Our first day, they locked breakfast area right at 9:30 sharp without letting the people already eating that they are closing. When we inquired with one of the staff, they replied in a kind of a rude way that ”when its close, its closed”. I could understand the policy but they would not even hear about suggestion of simply announcing that they are closing the breakfast area for last call so people could have a chance to get their last servings if needed. They also literally, close off the breakfast area while people are still eating almost like telling everyone to get out. I think this shows lack of service and professionalism with no empathy to their guests. it does look like they treat their guests as like burglars to close/lock off their breakfast area. For rooms, the area is a little bit smaller compared to some area hotels but typical of a Holiday Inn property so no complains there. Our rooms did not have issue(so far fingers crossed) but a lot of people in our group had room issues. Some have their locks not working after checkins and they have to work on fixing them and someone from our group was given a room that was still occupied. They have 2 gyms in different floors but smaller compared to other gyms from different hotels. They have a sauna and a pool so another positive. I am still checked in and staying for 5 more days so will update the review later but If not for our team choosing to stay on this Hotel I would have checked out and moved to Hilton across the street where we have a very positive experience a few years ago with the same competition.

The location is very convenient, especially close to the airport. It is also very convenient to eat next to it. The opposite is the convenience store and the gas station. The facilities are a bit old, but it is still relatively clean, and the equipment inside is quite complete.

I had a stay Feb 5-6, 2023 for a ground floor room w/ a single bed because I'm 100% handicapped from my military service during Vietnam. I called Microtel twice on 2/1 & again on 2/4, to confirm that I had a 1 bed ground floor rm. Both times the clerks assured me that it was in their system. I showed up Feb 5th around 3:30pm, & was told by the rude female desk clerk that there's no ground floor rooms available. I told her that I had called twice on different days & was assured that the notes were in the system. She finally checked again & put me in a ground floor room, that wasn't very clean, but I accepted it, since there wasn't any other ground floor rooms available according to her. That evening the room above me kept dropping things, & it sounded like being in a bowling alley w/ the loud noises. Later, a family came in the room next door to me, & the kids started yelling, screaming & pounding on the walls. I called the front desk a couple of times, but no answer. It finally stopped around 10pm. The next morning, I went to take a shower. There wasn't any hot water, & the soap & shampoo dispensers were empty. I called the front desk & again, no answer. Afterward, a Mexican guy apparently had a key to my room & came in, w/o knocking or anything. He looked surprised when he saw me, & started speaking Spanish. I asked who he was & why he came in my room, but just talked Spanish. When I went to the front desk & confronted the clerk (the same rude clerk that checked me in the day before) about this guy having a key to enter my room, she said it MAY be the maintenance guy. I then asked, ”Why didn't he say he's maintenance or staff or have hotel ID on him?” She claimed she didn't know. I filed a complaint w/ the mgr thru the clerk, & he finally sent me a email 3 days later saying he couldn't do anything about the noise from other guests. Nothing about the other issues, like no hot water, soap or shampoo, or why the guy had a key to enter my rm. No offer of a refund or some sort of compensation. Do not stay at this Microtel !!

This is a great place to stay. I’ve stayed here several times for a night at a time, when flying out the next day. They have an amazing Mongolian Beef rice bowl, great beds+pillows.. It’s clean, friendly, and best of all great service. Today I flew in in a snowstorm. The shuttle driver took me right to my car, so I wouldn’t have to drag my suitcase through the slush in the parking lot, then he put my suitcase in my trunk, AND brushed the snow off my car. Seriously? All my stays here have been great, but this one was above and beyond. It’s a gem, a well kept secret. Part of me didn’t want to write this because I don’t want it to be difficult to book in the future. My only suggestion is perhaps the desk attendant could give customers a map with their room marked. Sometimes finding the room is difficult due to the way it’s laid out. For me this is a minimal complaint and the rest of this establishment makes up for it!

I chose this motel because I had a very early flight out of SLC airport and my return flight a few days later was arriving very late. Since I live a couple hundred miles from the airport I booked a stay on both ends of my trip. My spouse and I are Best Western Rewards members and usually stay at Best Westerns when we travel; but for this trip, I was solo. Checking in, I was given a lot of grief because the reservation was made in my husband’s name (even tho I made the reservation). I even had the confirmation number. The front desk clerk finally agreed to let me stay after a lot of persuasion on my part. My husband and I have the last name, btw. When I returned and tried to check in a few days later, I was told I did not have a reservation. Once again, I did have a confirmation number and the name of the person who had made the reservation for me. The desk clerk told me my reservation had been cancelled by some person whose name I didn’t recognize . I’m clueless why they would let a stranger cancel someone else’s reservation. After a lot of argument the clerk finally agreed to get me a room. But of course it was $40 more than my original room. Even though the rooms were comfy and clean, you can bet I will never stay at this motel again. The clerks are rude and argumentative and have absolutely no desire to help you. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because the room was decent.

LLaoguobaThis one in Salt Lake City, the room was fine. Meet expectations. Breakfast is also quite satisfactory. Only disappointment and upset was that I left the next day and the $198 deposit was never cancelled. Yes, it has been 11 days. I called the front desk on 7.16, and the female staff replied about 4 working days. As a result, looking at it today, all Marriott's Springhills have not been cancelled. But what stands out is that there is a $20 deposit for other Springhills suites. This 198, why? Salt Lake City expensive? Aren't you worried that such an inefficient cancellation of the deposit will affect your guests' next itinerary? Not everyone has a $30,000 credit card limit and can ignore your slow refunds. Regarding this hotel in Salt Lake City, it has bad reviews. It is recommended not to go if you are concerned about the speed of returning the 198 deposit.

GGuest UserThis was the best hotel on our trip. We felt very welcome and enjoyed all of the interactions with the employees. There are great restaurants in the area, the front desk made some great recommendations. This hotel’s very clean. The breakfast was great. They have pumpkin waffles that were fabulous. I had read a review that said they didn’t feel safe, however that was not our experience- we felt safe in the area. There are homeless folks in the area but we never felt unsafe. Great place!

GGuest UserThis is the first time I stayed here and I'll be back. It's right next to the Salt Palace convention center which makes it incredibly convenient. It's reasonably priced and each room has some great kitchen features in it. Also, breakfast is included. There are several great restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff here is fantastic as well. I was hoping to get a muffin before they cleared breakfast, but I just missed it and the staff brought the bread tray back out for me to select from. Genni & William are great and very helpful. Genni waited with me until my Uber came to make sure I got in and got on my way to the airport okay. This is above and beyond what I've seen at other hotels in the area. Having kitchen utensils/items in the room was great for when I ended up staying in the room more than expected due to a tooth issue. I could easily heat up food and having a dishwasher meant I didn't have to do a lot with the dishes. If I was staying in Salt Lake longer, I'd definitely choose here because I could use the kitchen area to make sure I ate decent food. The only thing I wish is that they had a larger selection in their Marketplace area. Overall a great place to stay.

GGuest UserMy husband and I stayed here for their park sleep fly package. We were quite happy with all facets of customer service..the front desk, restaurant personnel. shuttle and housekeeping all surpassed our expectations. But the icing on the cake has been the service I have received regarding a gift card that was denied. The general manager has been extraordinary in working thru the situation, acquiring my refund and keeping me updated through the process. This is the most valued that I have felt by a large hotel chain in a long time. We will return to this hotel.

GGuest UserWe’re only a couple days into our stay and I’m frustrated and disappointed. The frustration started with the check in process. We arrived early and knew a room may not be available. We were told we would receive a text message as soon as one was cleaned and ready. We sat in the lobby adjacent, just 20 feet away from the desk waiting. We observe several people leaving the counter with room keys in hand. Some friends of ours checked in while we were sitting in the lobby and were given a room with a $25 early check in fee. That was never offered to us. I approached the desk to inquire why we hadn’t received a text message if a room became available and why people arriving after us were given rooms. No good answer BUT good news they have a room. I inquire about the microwave I had reserved weeks prior. Oh those are all spoken for sorry. Get to our room, it only has 1 bed I called down to the desk and was asked if I had touched anything in the room upon entering. I was asked to return to the front desk to get my new room keys. Upon entering our room we notice it’s rather warm. Fiddle with the thermostat unit which is set to 65 and there’s no difference in the fan speed between high medium and low. Next day call the front desk to request AC service and fresh towels. Nothing. Called again. Nothing. Next morning, called again and received towels. Supposedly the air was fixed while we were out for the day, but nothing has changed in regards to comfort. The pillows are terrible and the beds are on the soft side. The hotel is ready for some upgrades as the carpet is worn and dirty throughout the hallways. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful, oh and one housekeeper was able to find me a microwave that the front desk staff insisted was not available. Hmmm

GGuest UserFirst off, I love a hotel where the staff really works hard to take care of the traveler! Little things like breakfast starting at 4:30am instead of 6:30 or 7am. A great pool, great airport shuttle, and great service at checkin. Moses, the assistant mgr took great care of me at check in. The room was very large and very nice. The price was the best of all the hotels near the airport. Not a negative word to say about this place!

GGuest UserI recently spent a week (second week of April) staying at this property and knew when booking it that I had to keep my expectations in check. The location was great for access to the car rental agency, airport and downtown locations I planned my week around. There is a Denny's, McDonalds and a killer good Mexican restaurant all with in a block or two. The property is worn and dated but all common areas are clean and without any musty or overpowering smells. The rooms are surprisingly large and I was quite comfortable with my bedding and pillows. The unfortunate thing was that during my visit they were unable to provide any air conditioning as their system was still set for winter. After returning to my room on the second day and finding it at 85 degrees I had to discuss options with the desk. They were very understanding and were able to move me to a cooler room that I was able to deal with after buying a fan from the local Walmart. I did note that the toilet paper holder was askew and partially pulled from the wall. The metal towel holder had at one time been ripped from the wall and reinstalled without any concern for the resulting sharp edges from the resulting damage. My smoke detector was not mounted to the ceiling but instead resided on the shelf inside the closet. For me these were all little things, excepting for the air conditioning, and inconveniences I could handle. If my wife had been with me the place would not have worked and I felt for those guys that were checking in with their female partners. This is basically one of those places where traveling construction crews utilize (at least during my stay it was). The staff is friendly, accommodating and left working with what they have do deal with the best they can. I almost got what I expected when booking this chain, however I have had excellent past stays at other Comfort Inn locations. Salt Lake City is very easy to maneuver and knowing that now, I would not hesitate to look for a better stay a little further from the central city. Would I stay again? Only by myself and on a tight budget. It was not terrible, unsafe, or dirty and did what I needed - just don't expect too much with the price.

GGuest UserI had to book this room last minute to deal with a family emergency in the city. The photos looked decent and reviews said it was clean and the price was great. When we arrived late in the evening, the guy behind the desk was apathetic, and actually rather rude. The stairwell up to the third floor was the beginning of my feelings that this may have been a mistake. Between the back alley feel and the phallus shaped artwork on the windows were pretty demoralizing. The cart full of junk outside the door of the room next to us didn't help. Inside the room, I immediately noticed that the walls were scuffed all over and that you could see where light fixtures had been changed. The carpet had stains and was pretty worn. MY wife found some long black hair on the towels in the bathroom, and all they supplied were a pair of bath towels. When she asked the gentleman in the lobby for replacements, he provided a single towel, forcing her to ask for another, and then a hand towel and washcloth. He was pretty rude about the whole thing. Our room had a window facing West Temple, and it's only a single pane so the road noise was significant when compared to a room in other places. There was a lack of outlets that were easily accessible next to the bed, so if you travel with a CPAP, be ready to mobe the bed to plug in. The bed was clean, and the Tempurpedic mattress was nice, but the box spring had obviously been victim to a cat that decided to sharpen its claws. After an OK night's sleep, we took morning showers. In the shower, it looks like the tile had been painted over, and the paint was peeling badly. The worst part of the room in my book is in the shower. The showerhead provided a mere dribble and was simply the most disappointing shower I've ever had in my life. It's a shame, because this property, has some real potential to be a really cool place, so I hope the owners can take this review as constructive criticism and make some improvements.

Hhaleyl472The room was acceptable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I asked for an extra blanket and was given two. The room was clean. The room was perfect for the price. There was a fridge, sink, oven, microwave, and table for comfort away from home. The hotel is also located near some yummy restaurants and delivery was quick. The heater took a little while to warm the room up, but extra blankets were enough to feel comfortable. The shower water pressure was decent. There are lots of outlets and USB plug ins for any electronic needs. The WIFI also ran at a decent speed.

步行到银河The location of the hotel is in the suburbs, the breakfast is simple, and the surrounding environment is average; when I go out to buy something at night, there are many idle people on the street, etc., my heart is still a bit vacant; the hotel is a two-story room type. We live on the second floor and feel the hotel The facilities belong to the more average ones in the car hotels (almost seen the worst), the taste is a bit strange, the price is indeed cheap, there are more black people staying in the hotel, although everyone is very disciplined, but I still feel a bit uneasy. The price of the hotel did not say that it is the cheapest of the motels I have stayed at this time. If the requirements are not high, there is only a place to sleep and bath. You can choose. If you have expectations about the conditions of your stay, you can choose another one. Right.
