Wir haben ein sehr schmackhaftes 5 Gänge Menü im Restaurant des Saltauer Hofes genossen. Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend und hochprofessionell bedient und umsorgt. Das Essen und der uns dazu empfohlene Wein war vorzüglich und wir verließen das Restaurant zufrieden. Wenn wir wieder in Südtirol sind, werden wir erneut im Saltauer Hof unser Essen einnehmen.

We stayed with family for a few days. Hotel rich in history, three characteristic and modern rooms! Well-kept and relaxing swimming pool and wellness center! Young, smiling, professional and courteous staff! The girls at reception and all the dining room staff are fantastic! Excellent cuisine, quality in raw materials, combinations and presentation! Absolutely fantastic! Chicca: the boy who prepares desserts in show cooking - very good!! We hope to have the opportunity to return soon!

Excellent hotel, polite and helpful staff, excellent cleanliness, very very good food, but do we want to talk about the desserts? The pastry shop is a flagship. We made use of the spa and massages. In short, I highly recommend it, also because it is outside Merano, but the position is strategic for going wherever you want. Nice week spent in this hotel.

We stayed from 18 to 25 July in the residence structure. Very large spaces, well looked after, thorough and accurate cleaning, everything you need for a hot drink or coffee available, washing machine in the bathroom, very spacious balcony with Whirlpool. Breakfast with a vast and rich buffet and finally gourmet dishes with a vast choice of excellent quality, not forgetting the dessert...sublime. Structure from times gone by. Charm, history, elegance and functionality all in one. Clean room, with not exactly new furnishings (ah, what can photos do!) and without air conditioning (a fan is very helpful...). We didn't have a balcony but we had windows closer to what we called skylights. The swimming pool is in a very beautiful and quiet corner of greenery. Tennis courts available with equipment and everything free, as well as bikes. The kitchen is very well looked after! The chef offers extremely refined gourmet dishes. Drink prices are also very expensive (4 euros for mineral water and wines with an average cost of 30/40 euros). In short, a beautiful structure and strategically bordering the HIrzer cable car which takes you to 2000 meters and the Passirio cycle path which winds for about 20 km from San Leonardo to Merano.

We have just returned from an 8 day holiday with our puppy and we are fully satisfied. Really excellent food, varied and well presented, spotlessly clean room (we were in the new wing) and great kindness from the staff. Of course we felt like we were in Austria, not Italy, since it was difficult to meet anyone who spoke Italian, but that's how it was. Saltusio (or rather Saltus) is an almost non-existent village but Merano, a few kilometers away, is truly a splendid city. We would have liked a dog area to be available, or at least nearby, to unleash the puppy. The fact of being close to both the bus stop and the cable car is excellent. All in all, a truly pleasant experience abroad :-).
