Beautiful environment and exquisite breakfast. Dinner can be had at the Glass Garden in the hotel. The hotel is built on the top of a mountain, and the castle can be seen opposite. The front desk also lent us a package ticket, which allows us to take the elevator to the commercial street for free and take the castle's cable car for free. If we don't go into the museum and Mozart Museum, I feel like we don't need to buy the Salzburg city package ticket.

The wonderful staff and service are worthy of a five-star hotel, and the luxurious, spacious, and easy-to-use rooms and facilities are such that it even had a washlet, which is rare in Europe.

This hotel is perched on the top of a mini mountain overlooking the beautiful Salzburg. When we first arrived we were in a hurry to get on, but the team were absolutely amazing. We were worried it might be a long walk up and down the hill, however the team gave us some passes to a lift 100m away and it dropped us in the centre of the city. The room was well appointed and we had some lovely amenities waiting for us. It was one night but after getting to our next hotel we wished we hadn’t left this one. We will be back

My husband and I went to this Hotel/Castle as a special way to end our trip to Austria. Hotel Schloss Monchstein exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by wonderful staff at the front entrance and from that point on it was a fabulous stay. The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast was delicious and the meal we had at the Glass Garden was beyond delicious. It was served with elegance and presented beautifully. We have never had a meal so beautiful with the pairing of fabulous wines. Beyond explanation worth the money and the experience. The spa was clean and well run. The hot rock massage was done by an expert who made me feel comfortable from the start. We can’t say enough great things about this Hotel and our experience there.

We have stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and taken 20 luxury cruises. This is the finest hotel and absolute best staff and facility we have ever experienced. Any other hotel will be a step down and any other staff cannot hope to match the staff at Schloss Monchstein. Thank you!

Schloss Mönchstein ist ein wunderbares Kleinod an fantastischer, ruhiger Lage mit Blick über ganz Salzburg. In diesem Haus stimmt einfach alles! Ein besonderer Dank geht an das gesamte Personal von Rezeption, Bar, Restaurant, Frühstück und Spa. Alle waren überaus zuvorkommend, kompetent und unkompliziert und gaben einem auf jeweils ihre Art das Gefühl, willkommen und geschätzt zu sein. In unserer grosszügigen und modern eingerichteten Junior Suite (Upgrade) hatten wir bei absoluter Ruhe den erholsamsten Schlaf. Ein Abendessen im The Glass Garden sollte man nicht verpassen - ein kulinarisches Highlight. Dieses Hotel ist vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen - Enttäuschung ausgeschlossen!
