The room is clean but There was no refrigerator in the room and no cups of water… ㅠ However, it is an advantage that there is a large supermarket right behind the hotel. For those of you who use Flixbus, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stop by for a bit.

Although it is a bus ride away from the tourist attractions, buses come relatively frequently. I stayed with my dog, and it was nice to take a quick walk in the park behind it, and there was a large supermarket right behind it, so it was convenient. There is a really delicious curry restaurant just a 2-minute walk away! If you stay at this hotel, be sure to visit the curry restaurant.

The combination of the hotel lobby and bar is very creative! You can enjoy it in the lobby at night without going out to find a bar. It's about 20 minutes away by bus from the city center.

We tried Salzburg Sud Motel One for three couples. It is opposite a super market and so most convenient. Rooms were comfortable. Price, as compared to European standards were reasonable. Overall a pleasant stay. Recommend the same to fellow travellers.

We went during the Salzburg festival and accommodation in Salzburg was EXPENSIVE. I chose this hotel and I’m very happy with my choice. Nice comfortable room, good AC. Nice view of the Untersberg from our balcony. Supermarket right behind the hotel that also served breakfast which is ideal if you’re catching an early bus. Great location. About fifteen minutes drive from the centre of Salzburg but here’s the best part: the hotel is RIGHT next to the main bus depot so in the morning, almost every bus that crosses the hotel is going to Salzburg town centre and the reverse in the evening. Which means that you get buses at an incredible frequency of once every 2-3 minutes. This is also on the way to Berchtesgaden so if you’re doing a day trip to there it’s convenient. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night as we had a wedding to attend nearby. The rooms were a bit small but clean and well appointed. The breakfast which was included in the rate was also good. The location was close enough to the train station and there were some shops right opposite which was convenient.

The hotel was well situated with frequent busses and trams to centre of Salzburg. Staff helpful and friendly. Room not large but big enough and clean . Bed comfortable and large. Loved the tv screen saver very relaxing. Continental breakfast wasn’t expensive and had a good variety

As others have stated, the property advertises it has air conditioning, but only warm air came out of the vents. The room was over 40 deg C/104 deg F. No fans were available. There were smokers outside my window throughout the night, so sleeping with the window open was not an option between the smoke and the noise. Needless to say, in 3 nights I got no more than 6 hours of sleep in total. When I asked for bags of ice, I received used toilet paper bags to put the ice into. The rooms are very small. The bathrooms are microscopic. There are no amenities - not even a room phone, hair dryer, etc.

Friendly staff and very clean hotel. Breakfast okay and nice bar / lounge area. About 2 miles from town centre - nice walk next to the river or you can hire bikes from the motel. On a main road but not too much road noise. Good value for money and would definitely stay again if I was in Salzburg

Stayed here yesterday for a bargain price! The two members of staff behind the bar were really lovely and friendly! And made fantastic drinks. Rooms were immaculate! Shower is powerful. Would definitely stay again! Only thing I didn’t like - was the toilet was on the bottom floor, meaning you would have a drink and then have to take a lift downstairs to go toilet. Other than that, I think it was fantastic.

Staff: Very friendly and helpful staff! it was such a nice surprise Location: it is not far from the city center and the neighborhood is nice for jogging-the bus stop is exactly outside of the hotel - please note that Uber does not work in this city.... Cleanliness: Very clean Room temperature: The room is super hot, there is a thermostat and can control the temperature by yourself Room: My room is facing the mountains and it has such a nice view. There is no fridge or not even boiler or Nespresso machine in the room, and at the start i was surprised but i did not mind it. I really enjoyed that everything in the room was bio certified - such as shower gel...etc. the budget is focused on important things and i really appreciated it. Breakfast: Very nice breakfast and big variety. fresh and organic staff at a price of 13Euro Overall hotel: the design of the hotel is very nice, i stayed at the lounge area at the ground floor for drinks and coffee every day. Very nice vibe I will definitely stay again at Motel One, such a nice and smart concept Please note that the hotel does not serve food other than the breakfast - they only have a toast.

I understand that for 8 or 9 months of the year their is no need for air conditioning in Salzburg but I stayed in June and now (largely thanks to climate change) their is a need for air conditioning in Salzburg at that time of year. During my stay the daytime temperature was in the low 30’s and nights were warm. As motel one do not believe in air conditioning I was unable to sleep which made it difficult to enjoy my time in Salzburg. I experienced the same issues at motel one Stuttgart, but at least at the Salzburg hotel you could open the window with little noise. Apart from the lack of air conditioning, the rooms whilst basic were clean and comfortable. Their were no English speaking channels. Do you not want English speaking guests? Breakfast was basic but ok. The bus which stops outside the hotel takes you to and from Stuttgart. In addition, if you walk down the road to another bus stop you can get the bus into berchtesgaden which is beautiful. I’m not returning to this or any other motel one hotel. I place the fault not at any hotel manager but at the cost cutting measures of head office.
