Very good location in the old part of Salzburg and convenient to see the sites and local shopping area.

The reception staff at this hotel- Anna in particular went out of her way to help us when we were faced with difficulties dealing with our train tickets from Salzburg to Venice. She was patient and helpful and showed us how to use the bus outside the hotel to go to the train station and revise our bookings. The local bus service is great- so I would recommend using it if you are staying at this hotel and using trains in and out of Salzburg. The hotel itself was clean, quiet and well located. Good coffee and food/restaurants are close by. Note: the rooms are small so take note of this when making your booking as you may wish to upgrade. Salzburg is a beautiful city and if you visit, Madame Freuline’s Sound of Music Bike Tour was the highlight of my European trip! It’s starting point is easy walking distance from this hotel.

There is one parking spot for unloading but we had to circle a few times waiting for it to open up. There is a parking garage fairly close by and we paid extra to have the hotel staff valet for us. The location is very good for wandering around. Unbeknownst to us our visit fell on a holiday and most of the shops were closed but we did enjoy our visit. The hotel held our luggage for us after checkout time while we continued to venture around the city

Fantastic hotel experience. Perfect location, convenient to everything in Salzburg's old town. Truly an "art hotel" with thoughtful and creative attention to detail in rooms and common spaces. Our kids were blown away by the accommodations and view from their beautiful City Suite. Parents loved the cozy double room next door. Exceeded all expectations. Highlight of our European tour. A very comfortable and well appointed hotel in an idyllic location. The room was spacious and well designed with a large bathroom and separate sitting area. We loved the history of the hotel and position opposite the horse pond and backing on to the shopping street. I highly recommend this hotel.
