Discovery Samal Resort exceeded our expectations in every aspect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The resort's stunning location, nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking crystal-clear waters, provided the perfect backdrop for a truly relaxing getaway. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the variety of activities offered, from snorkeling and kayaking to indulging in rejuvenating spa treatments. The dining options were equally impressive, with a diverse selection of delicious dishes that catered to every palate. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable experience, always attentive to our needs and eager to assist with any requests. Overall, Discovery Samal Resort is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in paradise. Four stars well deserved!

I'd give this a zero star if I could. absolutely one of my worst hotel experiences I've ever had, and I travel alot. First of all, we did not receive a welcome drink like any other person who would check in. Not that we care much but it's just a bad start. Then, our additional bed had no real blanket, just a sheet, while the normal beds had thick comforters. How would this work exactly with AC on? They would want to charge extra for a comforter, even if we already paid extra for a bed, and another extra for a person. They do not make up your room, unless requested personally. WHAT? Who does that. Is 7500 pesos a night not worth enough to at least fix the room on a daily basis? Should we shower in the same towels, walk on sandy tiles, for a week? People swim with full on clothes, jeans even, but the rules clearly state ”proper swimwear required”, however, the staff doesnt give a single cent about that, just like almost anything that guests do there. Also, loud JBL speakers they don't mind, even if it blasts other people's eardrums out. Even after complaining, the staff would not bother telling them to shut down the speaker as THIS IS A RESORT and not a public beach. Waiters insist that their menu has wrong items listed after delivering wrongful and missing food. Then on valentines evening, which was a huge reason for us that we chose this place, in house guests were not included in the program, only outsiders. We were not allowed to partake, instead, we were seated somewhere aside from the main program that had a nice set up. i mean, What the actual F*. They charge us corkage for a late night alcoholic bevarage brought inside. However, locals can bring theirs and bring in KFC and jollibee, even cakes is okay. Absolute discrimination. These people simply do not care about their guests, especially if you stay longer than 1-2 nights, they start to dislike you after you give them your complaints or requests. It took a sit down meeting with their manager for it to slightly change on the day before we left. Then the staff suddenly acted like they love us, providing things they'd not even bother bringing up prior to this. Sorry, at that point the damage was already done and we did not care. Never again. If we could we would have checked out after 2 nights. Terrible, just Awful.

Our stay at Pearl Farm Beach Resort exceeded every expectation we had. We truly felt like we were in paradise, the resort is breathtaking beyond what the photos can convey. There were so many activities available at almost at any time - including snorkelling, jet-skiing , kayaking, massages etc and the staff are always accomodating and helpful. We stayed in a Samal overlooking incredible views of the ocean and Mt Apo on a clear day, the rooms were perfectly sized and clean, we loved falling asleep to the ocean and waking up to feed fish from our balcony. The best part of this whole experience however, has to be the staff. Every single staff member greeted us with a smile, were always so friendly and up to help - I got an allergic reaction during my stay, and the on-site nurse - Eduardo kindly spent the entire week ensuring I was taken care of. We are touched by the generosity of the staff at Pearl Farm Beach Resort and would be delighted to come back again in the future with our friends and family. I am a hotel guy, hands down but when I found out that I could get my own room, I took a chance and went for it and I am SUPER HAPPY that I did. I normally stay at beach front resorts until a high maintenance friend suggested I give this hostel a shot. In my head, if my diva friend enjoyed this facility, then I could enjoy it too 😆. The place is NOT a beach front resort so you need to know that if you are only a beach front person. If you don’t have a car, there are “tricycles” that can you to the beach front for a super low cost. Drivers and locals are mega friendly and trustworthy. There’s a dog here named Yukie who’d even come with you if you like ❤️❤️. Anyway, the hostel is pretty rad. My room had air conditioning, a very comfortable bed and hot shower. NO television & wifi because the hostel encourages you to disconnect. If you want wifi, like me right now as I’m making this very review, you’d need to walk to the common area where you can eat your self service breakfast. They served me corn coffee which is pretty awesome. Then a continental breakfast as well. This common area has a television too so if you want to watch the news, you go right ahead. When I woke up this morning, there were many exotic birds chirping their little hearts away. So freaking cute. I checked out all the rooms so I can give my friends an accurate description. There are rooms with 4 single beds. Rooms with bunk beds with their own reading lights and 2 bathrooms in each shared rooms. The deluxe room is pretty awesome too. The art works are beautiful. Although the place advertises itself as a hostel, I am able to say that it’s a hybrid of a hotel and a hostel. I’ve seen hostels in Vancouver that made me want to barf. This hostel has gotten me SUPER IMPRESSED. Really clean. Really well maintained. Staff is awesome and initiative. I am very very impressed and I plan to bring my family and friends the next time I come back.

Worth the price to enjoy the resort especially for big groups. Great service and polite staff. Wide area for pets to roam around. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in their rooms and environment.

The round hut is very classy. You will see the whole Davao Gulf iff you peek by the window. The pool's cleanliness is well-maintained. Foods are cooked and presented very well, and very delicious. Kudos to the butlers and the entire staff, who are very attentive and quick to the needs of the guests. We'll definitely visit again soon.
