I write this after a very traumatic experience. I await a full refund from hotel and *******. No update as of yet. Disheartening. Hello Roselle, Thank you for the update. I appreciate your efforts in working on my refund request with Nattivo Collection Hotel. I want to provide more context on the situation, which was extremely distressing and led to me cutting my trip short. I checked in at 3 pm on August 5th and went to sleep early as I wasn’t feeling well. In the middle of my first night, someone entered my room without any announcement of who they were. I screamed loudly, startled them, and the safety latch blocked their full entry. They shut the door without saying a word. This incident left me feeling extremely threatened and unable to sleep. At 4 am, I booked a return flight to end the vacation I had planned, feeling too scared to stay any longer. The next morning, I explained the situation to the hotel staff and recorded the encounter. Initially, they did not seem shocked or apologetic, only starting to take me seriously when I said I needed to leave due to feeling unsafe. They eventually called me a taxi to the airport as I needed to leave in 20 minutes to make my flight. They stated they’d give me a full refund but I needed to speak to *******. After an investigation, the later explained that it was a supervisor who had entered my room. They showed me the camera footage and admitted it was an error. The person who entered my room never announced themselves and did not respond to my screams, which would have been the correct action to reassure me. Instead, I was left terrified, thinking someone might be waiting for me outside my room. Why would a supervisor need to enter a room at that time? They said they thought it was empty. If that’s the case, why did they knock? As a woman traveling alone, this experience was incredibly traumatic. It is unacceptable for anyone, especially hotel staff, to enter a guest’s room in the middle of the night without proper identification and communication. This incident raises serious concerns about safety and security at the hotel. I find it highly unusual that a supervisor would not immediately contact the front desk after they heard he screaming during the attempted entry, to ensure the startled guest was informed it was a hotel employee and reassured about the situation. I hope the hotel and ******* values the safety of its customers, especially women traveling alone, and will fix the situation and offer a refund immediately. This was an amazing experience, the hotel has delicious breakfast, and a convenient location next to the beach, definitely would stay here again. Very friendly people and clean establishment. Happy with our service, the restaurants attached to the hotel have great food

Very good hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and all have a spectacular ocean view. Although at this time there may be some inconveniences (especially with the elevator) due to the remodeling, the vast majority of services are available. The breakfast is good but could have a little more variety. A short distance from the hotel there is a wide variety of dining options. Lots of types of food and for all budgets. The Hotel has a small private beach. The best beaches are less than 10 minutes away on foot. or you van rent an small car and do the tour around the island. It took 3 hours. Very friendly staff that solves any question or requirement.

Our experience started at check in. Very unfriendly staff and we waited...and waited for our room. Finally was given a room that had a very strong chemical smell, air conditioner that did not work and ants crawling all over. In addition, we were only given two bath towels (no hand towels, bath mat, etc). This was problematic because when using the shower, the water ran through the bathroom and into the bedroom and we had nothing to wipe it up with. We asked about the air con and were told there were no more rooms available and someone would be by to fix it. Later that night, no one fixed it and they couldn't until the next day, so we were given another room just for the night. This room had working air con but broken toilet seat that you could not sit on. The next morning we were kicked out around 9am when staff were waiting for us to leave and went back to original room having to move luggage between the 2 rooms. Air con still not fixed. Finally someone walked in and pointed a different remote at it and it worked! They did not say anything to us or explain the situation, but just left. We thought they were going to come back with a resolution but never did. When we went to adjust the temp with the remote we had, it stopped working again. At this point we had enough and booked somewhere else. For the SAME PRICE as this dump, we booked a 3 bedroom 3 bath with wrap around balcony through booking with views of the ocean and just one block from beach. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

San Andres Island is a wonderful Colombian paradise to visit but unfortunately Decameron in general has lots to do to improve clients experience from maintenence to fulfilling their expectations. We traveled from Canada to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday, the organizer/front desk dropped the ball, didn't send the cake to the restaurant we chose to celebrate, didn't notify ahead of our special celebration. Our room was not adequately chosen for reduce mobility needs eventhough we asked for it. The phone in our room didn't work, the bathroom faucet kept dripping throughout our entire 1 week stay, this didn't seem to bother the Administration. The pool was out of service for at least 4 days without notifying guests ahead or communicating when to expect the work to be finisheed. The WiFi connection is awful, very inconvenient for visitors that don't have local 🇨🇴 phone service. This was our second time here, we had a much better experience the 1st time, 1.5 year ago. The workers at the restaurant were great.
