The Fairmont is an amazing hotel brand and the actual Property is really high quality as well. This is a true resort property in San Diego and one that you can get away from the world to.

The room is spacious and elegant. The environment is very nice.

The hotel hardware is very good, and the service staff are also very enthusiastic. The most perfect thing is their golf course, the lawn is great.

The room is very good, the hotel environment is very good, and the service is very attentive. If the charges are unclear, you will be charged more or less. Stayed for three nights and there was a problem with the breakfast charge every day. Internet access fees will also be charged repeatedly. Be sure to take a good look at the bill when checking out. Ctrip's service is very good and they help solve problems in a timely manner. trustworthy!

It is a tree-lined hotel, a very comfortable hotel. The hotel has a bit of history, and the facilities are a bit old, but the service is acceptable. It is very cold when receiving Chinese people.

The hotel is located in a very quiet valley connected to a golf course. The hardware and software should be regarded as the best in the local area. Stayed for two days and experienced the hotel's catering, which is worth a try. A very memorable stay experience.

We had a wonderful experience. My family and I booked a last minute vacation to San Diego and we were quite tired when we arrived. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. Irene and Steve from the concierge desk helped us plan our days and made sure we had everything we need. Rustin was caring and went above and beyond for me. I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea upon arriving at Fairmont followed by an excellent massage in the spa. I purchased some swimwear and some beautiful dresses and then enjoyed amazing food in my suite. I have to say the food did not disappoint, even small items were really good. For example the chia seed pudding from the breakfast menu was absolutely delicious. I had it everyday and it was consistently good. The beef short rib with barley was my favorite meal. The nice lady at the stables was great. She loved my kids and made sure they got a pony ride on Copper. My family and I will definitely be back for more pampering and relaxation at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

Absolutely loved our stay at fairmont. So lucky to have checked in with Niel at the front desk! He is so kind and accommodating. When we arrived, we were treated with so much kindness from the staff. The whole property is so beautiful so I’d recommend taking a walk around if you have time. We look forward to returning to the fairmont!

I had the most amazing trip spent with family and friends! We stayed for a whole week this time because Neil who works at the reception desk is so amazing and helpful. He goes above and beyond to make sure my family and I feel welcome every-time we visit the property! My Fiancée and I typically spend our time in Orange County when we visit California and stay at the Montage BUT since staying at fairmont and meeting Neil, we have been converted! We absolutely love the property but I am am so grateful that people like Neil make my stay even more worth it!

I have stated some five star hotels in the US and a few places in other countries. I would have to say this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. When you get there they roll out the red carpet. The only thing missing was a candle,plates and silverware singing “be our guest.” The grounds are immaculate. The pool areas are fantastic. Absolutely love the bar area. Very relaxing they burying some great entertainment. The grand social outdoor bar area with fire pits is amazing. Such a relaxing vibe with great music playing while you’re having hors d’oeuvres and s’mores and cocktails.

Just the best hotel in San Diego. The things we loved: The pool temperature is perfect The horses The horse feeding The food The service The excellent rooms The pool attendants setting up chairs and the pool service was excellent The valets The kids eating free I missed the cookies at turndown. That was such a nice treat. Also there was no meat options for any of the pizzas at the outdoor grand social. It would also be nice if they had a kids menu for the outdoor grand social. I don’t have any complaints. Book this hotel if you want a perfect vacation.

My daughter and I spent a "staycation" weekend at the hotel and it felt like we'd been whisked away to Tuscany. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed meeting the horses, archery lessons and the spa, but the staff is really what made the resort special. The thoughtful touches were much appreciated.

We have stayed at many different Fairmont hotels before this trip and this is now one of our favorites. The rooms are well maintained and the bathrooms are much bigger than other Fairmonts’. We like that the place is secured (gates are controlled by security ppl to only allow guests) though we did notice that the gates were left unattended almost everyday around dinner time. Neil at front desk was really helpful and so was Steven at concierge. The valet staff are friendly and nice, though sometimes they only open door for the driver and not the passengers. On one of the nights, we got notified by our car’s app on our phone that our car was left unlocked. And it stayed unlocked the whole night so that made us uncomfortable. We did horse riding and Lauren and her team were really nice and fun to be with. Our kids also did the junior golf clinic and they enjoyed it. The staff at the pool were really helpful. They always helped to set up our chairs when we get there and checked on us regularly. However they stop taking orders for food and drinks around 4pm or so, which is a bummer because it would be nice to have some food around 5ish for early dinner by the pool. Housekeeping was prompt which we appreciate since we like to get back to our room after lunch. One of the housekeepers ignored our request for slippers - other than that, the other housekeepers were great. The gift store is disappointing though - we have been to other Fairmont stores and they usually carry a lot of unique souvenirs but not this store. It was small and only sold a small selection of items.
