Hampton Inn San Francisco/Downtown-Convention Center Reviews

Great location, near bus stop and has grocery stores around like target and trader joe's only 5-7 mins walk. Good choice of breakfast, lot of choices. We had a great stay, and was accommodated with a nice Filipina lady when we came around 9 which is too early to check-in, she let us park our baggage and said to come back like around 11 and said that she'll try to get us a room ready, but when we came back, the Chinese lady which I think the manager, she's kinda rude and not that accommodating compared to the first lady that assisted us, she told us to come back at 1 . For sure, we'll come back in this hotel when we get a chance to go to SF again.

Excellent staff, always to help the client, the lady who is at the reception is a GREAT ADDED VALUE, to the excellence of the hotel, friendly and cordial, they gave us the room before the check-in time, since we arrived from a flight of 10 very exhausted hours and we ask you if possible to check-in earlier, which we greatly appreciate, somewhat small room but very complete in everything, they should recycle and change the old air conditioners-heating because of how noisy they are, details of coffee and infusions next to reception 24 hours, and very close to the center 3 minutes walking, we will return on a next trip to San Francisco

Homeless people everywhere. Garbage all over. Hotel was clean inside. They charge you for valet parking and tell you it’s secure. When it’s parked inside an open gate 24/7 and if you self park at the same location it’s $40 as opposed to $74 for valet.

There a rattling noise ALL NIGHT long. Bed was uncomfortable. Parking was horrible. Right next to what seems like homeless land. Was scared to leave my car in the parking structure 2 blocks away. No parking near by. Not going back

This is only 4 stars because of mechanical issues: my window blind collapsed completely when I tried to lower it, and the elevators took an average 5 minutes to open and on two instances didn't work at all with my room card. BUT the staff were the best I've experienced at any hotel.

Staff are great.. rooms are right size and is clean.. got a nice view at night.. the side where we parked our car is too dark , not much lights so I felt unsafe until i reached the door of the hotel

Everything was great except we would have like to have see some better vegetarian options at the continental breakfast.

The valet person was hardly paying attention to us whenever we asked about our car and would only give us short answers. We eventually got out car back, but it took a while for this to happen.

Staff was nice, place was decent food was good room was decently cleaned Bedding didn’t fit mattress spent nights fighting the sheets to stay on bed very upsetting as I felt uncomfortable with the bedding and touching the mattress

Clean and good security. Rooms small but adequate. Soft green night light in bathroom ceiling is great. $60 for valet parking is a lot! Or park on the street, often a parking space at night is free in little street behind the hotel.

We were safe inside the hotel, but the sidewalks on all sides were covered with homeless and loud violent people (worse than downtown San Diego where I live). Room was clean. TV remote had caked up dirt between the buttons. Fridge didn’t work. The replacement they brought also didn’t work. The heater was so loud it made sleeping difficult. Breakfast both days was good. The rooftop sitting area had a cool view around the area without being close to the crime.
