King George Hotel in Union Square Reviews

The hotel was great in almost every aspect, it was nice that even though breakfast was not included they still offered coffee, pastries and fruits in the morning. The only downside was an amenities charge of 20 dollars that we were not aware of. Supposedly that for wifi when it said it was already included.

Discrimination at check-in, no heating at all in the room, too cramped in the room, and rude behavior of the cleaner (I just come in and run into it even if I put a no-disturb sign) Hot water is lukewarm only when you leave it on for 15-20 minutes ----- Don't go

Location is excellent, room is tiny but enough. Don’t expect anything fancy here for this price range. Charged extra $25 for early checks in.

The place is ok if you want to spend more of your time out. The rooms are small. You can hear everything that happens in the next room. The rooms don’t have a heater so I had a bad night because it was too cold and only a thin blanket. The location is the best part of all and some amenities like bread and coffee.

The location is in central, however some homeless people are around.

Lovely quaint hotel that feels like it has some history. The renovations are modern with a comfy bed, pristine sheets and plush towels. The upgrade did a good job of keeping to original aesthetics and respecting the classic building. The location is a minute walk to Union Square and next to other bigger chain hotels. The staff were all very friendly especially the check-in with Vivian! Her friendly welcome and 5 star customer service after a long flight in was greatly appreciated! Comes with coffee and pastries in the morning in the lobby area before you start your day exploring the city. Will stay here again upon my return to SF.

We had to cancel our holiday due to our daughter's illness, so we didn't stay at the hotel at all. That's why we're giving neutral ratings on most criteria except the service. The hotel didn't seem to care why we couldn't make it. Not only was our holiday gone but our hard earned money was also wasted.

Nice hotel and clean

Good location and easy access . But the room is too small with limited space for mobility. Bed is too high especially not convenient for people in short figure. The pillow and quilt is not good for us too. The worst was badly noisy at night.

Good location, walkable distance to attractions.

Wonderful experience at King George's. Location was good, super short walk to 7-11. Front staff was super friendly and gave us advice as it's our first time at SF. Coffee, water dispenser and bar in the lobby, ice machine at 2nd level. There is no fridge in the room.

Hotel is clean. Very accessible to other places. Staff are nice too.
