The GM was welcoming and helpful.
The front desk gentleman was nice but did not seem to know much about anything.
We specifically requested our room be made up as we were a large family group and visited in each others rooms throughout the stay but our room was never cleaned.
There was no fresh towels , no bed made ,no trash removed, people just toss their dirty linens and trash in the hallway to be collected.
We asked for extra pillows and were told there weren't any but were given an extra blanket to use.
The pool and courtyard were nice with a seating area ,firepit, basketball court and BBQ.
Breakfast was great ,cold and hot selections, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk and juice.
Complimentary coffee and cookies in lobby, nice perk for families.
Small commissary with snack items in lobby .
The hotel itself is old and desperately in need of a renovation upgrade.
Room rates should be much lower based on the condition of this hotel ,it does not have the usual Marriott standard at all.
We were charged an additional $81.00 after check out with no explanation and inquiry through Marriot was ignored.
It is dark ,smelly in areas and strong cleaning fluid smell in other areas.
Carpets are dirty , our curtains were ripped, mattress on sofa bed was awful ,pool towels are paper thin and threadbare.
Room linens are not bad and Queen mattress was acceptable.
The location is okay, across from a plaza with several places to eat ,pizza, bagel, greek, sub sandwiches, short walk to McDonalds and Mexican, Lucky grocery shop and Ross.
You do need to cross a busy 4 lane highway but its pretty quiet later in the day. Theres also a dollar store a few blocks away for forgotten items.
Insanely high taxi fare from airport and back , when converted to Canadian is was $270 each way.
