Booked here on the recommendation of a friend. It's very clean and cost-effective. It's not far from the city. It takes about 15-20 minutes to drive. It only takes more than 20 minutes to drive to the Stanford campus. The hotel has a simple breakfast and there is no resort fee.

The breakfast was a bit rude. The waiter is good, especially the Philippine Overseas Chinese Gao, who is very eager to speak Chinese and is very enthusiastic. The bed in the room is large.

Because I was afraid of noisy, I negotiated with the front desk to change the room, and the front desk was also very good at communicating. Arrived early on the first day, the front desk was also very accommodating and checked in in advance.

This is a great Hotel, the location is great. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. There's a nice shaded park next to hotel, with kids play park, BBQ picnic area and a small walking or jogging path.
The hotel is undergoing renovation some areas are closed off but still enjoyable. The rooms have been upgraded and updated! This is a very quiet hotel never had issues with noise even when construction is taking place. Keep in mind it is a Historic Landmark, meaning you will see some areas that are what some would say old or outdated ... Hence HISTORICAL PROPERTY PEOPLE!! So get over the old look feeling you're thinking and go jump in the pool !!!

Even during COVID-19 -- Marriott Residence Inn was a great stay! I always prefer to stay at Marriott Residence Inn when I travel -- because these rooms are ”mini condos” with bed, kitchen, living room, and laundromat. This stay was different -- I just wanted to have some quiet time from family during COVID-19. I'm on Weight Watchers -- so being able to bring + cook my own food worked for me when I didn't go out to eat. I was fortunate to get a room on the end -- so it was quiet which I liked. Usually this hotel room has plates, pots, pans, utensils -- all that you need in a kitchen -- but it was all taken out. I was glad to use my own plates, pans + utensils. Better safe. If I needed anything - hotel staff was just a phone call away. The hardest part was parking -- it was packed because we couldn't go anywhere during COVID-19 shutdown, even beaches were closed.

Fortunately this hotel is remedying some of its issues--an awkwardly laid out first floor and a pretty average buffet-style breakfast. In its favor is its great downtown location, spotlessly clean facilities and excellent bedding. My TV had tons of channels and worked very well. I enjoyed the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries and my room was quiet and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to assist however possible. Yes, the homeless are on the streets, but I was never approached or made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe. I walked everywhere and enjoyed great area restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 6 nights to attend a conference at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. I was looking for a place as close to the convention center as possible because I needed to bring my demo equipment, but I had a hard time finding a hotel that was reasonably priced. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. The owner was very friendly and answered all my questions promptly. If I ever come back to San Jose, I would use this hotel again. サンノゼマッケンナリーコンベンションセンターで開催される学会参加のため６泊利用しました。 デモ機を持ち込むため、なるべくコンベンションセンターから近いところを探していたのですが、値段が高いホテルばかりで困っていたところ、ここはリーズナブルな値段でした。 部屋は広く、清潔で、サービスも行き届いていました。 個人経営のホテルですが、オーナーの方がとても親切で、不慣れな私の質問にも丁寧に答えてくれて適切かつ迅速に対応頂きました。 サンノゼに来ることがまたあれば、再度このホテルを利用したいです。

GGuest UserAfter a miserable day of travel and the last leg of our flight being canceled, Renee, at Four Points, sent a shuttle to pick us up at the airport and went far above and beyond to accommodate us, help extend our checkout time, and offer a very reasonable rate; the room was comfortable, clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. Our airport return was well beyond checkout time; they tagged and held our luggage so we could go have dinner, then retuned us to the airport in the evening so we didn’t have to spend hours in the terminal, exemplary service by kind and caring people.

Aamberlys94At check in I asked for a room on a high floor, he told me he did not have any, but don't worry theres no one above you. which clearly there was, I could hear them walking and stomping. No problem , they were quiet after 9pm. The room was clean and decent enough, until it was morning and time to take a shower. No hot water. they were nice enough to move me, but I ended up forgetting a small canvas bag in the old room that completly dissapeard. the front dest person said nobody had been in the room but there was a luggage tag in the trash that was not mine and my little bag was not there, as it was the only place I could have left it. Would I stay agian, probably but I'd make sure I have hot water before unpacking, since moving rooms in a rush in the morning caused me to leave something behind, yes I know that is my fault, but the item should not have dissapeared.

AAnonymous UserThe room can be, if you feel bad, you can find the service desk to replace it after entering the door and before moving anything. In general, the facilities are good and the service is OK (don't compare with the high domestic standards).
The surrounding University of San Jose can walk around, there is not much dining around (or not more accurate), but you can go to the airport to find something to eat

GGuest UserA lot more than what meets the eye when you first pull in! Rooms were very spacious, breakfast was ok except they didn't have the waffle machine working that was sitting on there on the counter, which was kind of big bummer. They also have a full bar but it was closed for whatever reason and not stocked at all. The breakfast and bar were the main reasons we booked this hotel too.
Oh and one last thing, someone at the front desk apparently ”accidentally” set off the FIRE ALARM in the entire hotel. At about 1:30AM the fire alarm sirens started blaring. I didn't smell smoke and didn't see or hear any panic when I went outside. I came out of our room and looked down the hallways and there was NO ONE to be found... Searched around (all while deafening sirens are blaring right outside our door) at 1AM and all of a sudden, after about 5 or so minutes of frantically trying to find a fire or anything, the sirens stopped. Extremely confused and also a bit irritated at 2am, we called the front desk after not hearing anything from anyone about if we were in danger or not. They answered finally and we told them that the fire alarm had been going off... The front desk person said ”Yes, we know, we took care of it.” Like it's a normal occurrence and we should've known I guess... So, confused again, we asked ”Sooo, was it just an accident?” And all they replied with was ”Yes.” Without so much as an apology. And that was that
So, be prepared, if staying here, that might happen! Just forewarning. 🤷

EE3108MMjonathanhJesus was very helpful and definitely fulfilled all my needs and made my time here very comfortable. I stay here often and I’ve never had a problem. The rooms are always clean and whenever I need anything from any of the workers here they get right on it and take care of the situation. I stayed at many hotels in San Jose and this is the one I feel most comfortable and it’s definitely because of the employees and how nice they make the hotel

GGuest UserMy wife made a reservation for my son (age 22) to stay at Extended Stay Hotel for a month. Upon arrival with my wife (she and I were paying for the room) were informed that my son's ID was needed to stay in the room. His ID was stolen over a month prior after he was assaulted, and he'd not yet had it replaced. However, we were able to produce a full color photocopy (front and back) because we keep them for all valuables (e.g. credit cards, ID's, etc.). Was informed by the manager that this was insufficient, and their policy was that the guest must produce an actual physical ID. Ironically, we had just the day before checked my son out of an Extended Stay about 15 miles away where he had been residing for the past six weeks. That Extended Stay was close to his job, but we had decided to move him closer to us for our convenience connecting with him, and helping him get to the grocery store (he does not drive). The Manager (Rico) would not budge on the policy, so we moved our son to a nearby hotel for a few days hoping to sort it out. I reached out to Extended Stay Guest Services (don't bother with your canned and insincere response, because I HAVE already contacted you directly), and was informed that I would be contacted by a District Manager within forty eight hours. Having received no additional contact, I continued to try to reason with Guest Services, but was informed that only a District Manager could allow the manager of the hotel to grant an exception to their rule about requiring a physical ID. A week later I made a new reservation for myself at the hotel, plus a guest. Upon arrival was told by Rico that because my son did not have an ID, I could not check into the hotel myself. In other words, despite any experience I have had checking into a hotel previously (and since), at Extended Stay Hotels the policy is that all adults who will reside in the hotel must produce a physical ID. Either that, or their manager was being obstinate. In any case, I informed Rico that I needed to resolve the situation immediately, because I was leaving town, and wanted to see my son situated before I left. I literally begged him to contact the District Manager by phone, but he refused. Said that he'd sent them an email, and that was the most that could be done. To summarize - over the course of a week, I spoke to Extended Stay Guest Services over five times. I spoke with representatives Stephanie, Matt, Samantha, Shaniqua, and Mariah over those days, and each time was assured that the District Manager (Salguni P) was aware of the need to speak with me, and would be in touch. Nico said the same thing. I had a Case Number (29763792) that is apparently meaningless, because I have never been contacted by anyone at Extended Stay. I moved my son into a Marriott Residence Inn directly next door to the Extended Stay Hotel, and had absolutely zero issue checking in. My son did not have to produce any ID, and although I did end up paying a slightly h
