It is a truly special place. But it is not a 5 star as claimed, its just a 4 star and just for minor things that cheapen the experience. One thing that irked me is that they have a coffee machine in the room but one has to go downstairs and buy pods for $1.50 each. This is cheap, small TV, channel guide is not accurate or changed. Having a price list for said breakfast items as simple as oatmeal is also ludicrous and takes away from what should be exceptional for 5 stars the ambiance is wonderful as you feel as if you are staying in an art museum. Will stay again but do not expect a 5 star hotel. exceptional for

Really love this hotel. Amazing staff, location is good and quiet. Not far to get anywhere. Definitely a go-to spot near San José.

The room is very big, and the various statues and art paintings in the hotel lobby are very enjoyable. The hotel is clean and has complete facilities. The service is also very good. Even if you live on the first floor, the overall humidity will be heavier. The security of the hotel is still very good. It is in Xincheng and the transportation is convenient.

Very, very, very bad. I have never stayed in such a bad hotel. The customer said it was not worthy of his star rating at all. It was very, very bad. I wanted to check out on the same day. I rented it for three nights in total. I couldn't stay at all, but I just checked out. The last night's rent is non-refundable, and the second night's rent is non-refundable. The collection of Costa Rican art is impressive. Excellent attention. Excellent breakfast.

The only person authorize of giving VIP benefits it’s the general manager and he was no where in the property. Staff was rude and unavailable to help me. ******* customer service try to reach property and no one at property answer them. I felt uncomfortable and they made me feel as if I was asking for a favor or not as a guess.

We enjoyed our stay and the roof top pool. The art in hotel was great to view and the staff was very friendly and their english was very good. We stayed their at the beginning and the end of our trip and would stay there again.

Nice clean rooms, and polite and attentive staff. Carlos at the tour desk was very helpful; he does his best to look after his guests needs to make sure they have a great time.

Helpful staff. Pretty good ameneties within the hotel. Slightly disappointed at the lack of shower gel & shampoo. Also free coffee packets for the in room machine needed to be applied for. Overall though a good experience

The cleaning staff stole $50 from our room. We contacted the front desk and nothing was done. Overpriced and overrated.

I just love this unique little hotel! There is no place else like it. The place is literally full of amazing art, with paintings EVERYWHERE as well as sculpture. It's tucked away off the street, quiet, with super courteous staff, and serve a great breakfast (also lunch and dinner)! I am especially glad they have solved my covers problem. So many hotels these days have those soft, fluffy covers on the bed that feel amazing, but I always wake up repeatedly because I get too hot, but there is no lighter-weight option. So I'm either too hot or too cold. Here they have wonderful fluffy covers, but there is more than one layer, with different weights, so I can control my covers and be comfortable.

I was impressed by the artistic style of the hotel and the buffet breakfast. Our room was large, clean and quiet. There are also many good restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay there again.
