I'm rating Cocoons a 5 out 5 firstly because of the very attentive, well-informed, and approachable employees. The Cocoon itself is relatively small, but that's the main reason why it's called a cocoon and this is a glamping concept hotel. They replenish the toiletries, coffee, water inside the room on a daily basis. They change towels upon request which is good as I'm not a fan of hanging towels outside hotel rooms. The internet is not good, we had to use our prepaid wifi during our stay. The bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable and of good quality. It would be better if there are at least hooks for clothes inside the rooms. Floor rug should also be in the room upon check-in, we had to request it but they gave it right away. If there's a way to address the hanging of clothes and towels outside the rooms that would be good as it takes away the beauty of the cocoons. Maybe a cloth string behind cocoons, not sure if that would work. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. There are common toilets near cocoons so finding one won't be a hassle. Pools were heated and clean. Shore is also clean and definitely ”swimmable”. Breakfast at The Sands was okay, but breakfast at Captain Barbozza was amazing! Had dinner at Captain B twice and loved the food, drinks, and ambience. 10/10! Overall it was a great glamping experience.

We recently visited at the El Hardin de Zaida for an overnight stay with mom and my aunt and I can say it was all pleasant. The place was a gated property at the border of Laiya and San Juan. Check-in procedures were great and we had a special treat of being upgraded to the premium stay which gave us access to the exclusive pool that is adjacent to our hotel room. For the room, it was clean and spotless one but the vanity desk didn't have a mirror in front of it. The bathroom was nice. It had a drying rack, a bidet but the shower needs a bath mat to prevent guests from unnecessary accidents. Food was splendid. Late lunch, an evening at Rudy's and the breakfast. One of our highly considered decisions for choosing El Hardin de Zaida was the Spa. Prior to the trip, we called the place to ask if we needed to book a reservation for the therapy but we were told that we can avail the services on the spot. When we arrived, we were told that there was only one therapist available. We were three. Therefore, it would be impossible for us to avail 2.5 hours worth of wellness services all together. We hope that this can be carefully addressed to prevent the guests from expecting the availability of the spa. Overall, the stay and the food was great.

Been there with my family for anniversary outing. The place and rooms was neat and clean. We’re there weekdays so feels like we own the entire resort. The beach and pool are clean. What I don’t like is the deposit which is expensive and the payment for each pet 150.00 Overall the place was good!

Went to The Farm for the very first time and I fall in love with them because of their Sound Healing activity with LJ Navera. Even our room has NO Hot shower, and even they did not fixed it at the end of the stay, I appreciate their place because of the sound bath of LJ. He is a true professional artist of his craft and having him there is really one of a kind experience
The week after I recommend the farm to my friends who wanted to experience Sound Healing from LJ Navera but he isn't there anymore. I don't know what happened but seems like the farm removed this activity from their lists and it's really heartbreaking
Without the sound Bath we just saw this farm as an overrated, overpriced place. If u want a massage get ready to pay minimum of 10K php. And BTW we still have the issue of no HOT Shower on our 2nd visit.

Ccwf1116I made the booking on the date of my arrival as i was stuck there in Laiya that i was not able to catch the last bus back to Manila. The room and service also the food is nice except that they might forget to put some amenities inside but this is understandable as my reservation is really ad-hoc. I really enjoyed the vibe and the experience of having dinner next to the beach, so romantic. This is absolutely amazing to spend your weekend escaping from the concrete jungle in my city. Also they got a tablet in the room so you can communicate with the staff immediatly, that's really convenient. There is a staff really really helpful , he is cute and with a geniue and charming smile on the face, helped me to get to the place i was planned to go. He gave me the right direction and make me a memo so that i could pass to the van driver in my transition. I am really appreciated for the help as the transportation in philippinesis is quite confusing.

We were lucky to get a room available considering the long weekend. We stayed at Terraza C. It is a room with the bedroom at the loft (2F) and a balcony, with the bathroom at ground floor. It can accommodate 4pax. We were a party of 3. I suggest a mirror be placed inside the room because it is quite a hassle going up and down just to see yourself in the mirror plus the lavatory counter is relatively small to place the hair dryer there. Also, when you shower, the shower curtain touches your skin that is how tight the shower area is. The toilet bin is also too big for the space. Other than that everything else was serene. The food was good too. We loved the beach most of all. Nothing beats the prestine waters nature has to offer. The picturesque poolside is just an added bonus. The staff were all nice and courteous. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will come back with family that is when we again get lucky to get an accommodation (as this resort seem to be always fully booked, well for good reason!).

GGuest UserImportant things first, would we recommend – simple answer “NO” Main issues: 1. We booked a room for 3 nights for my wide’s 40th birthday with a Queen bed. Sorry a 4ft6 bed is not a Queen bed. I know historically that this was sometimes considered Queen in olden days in PH, it is certainly no longer the case, and thus we consider this as false advertising. 2. Noise very old window mount style AC that did not keep the room at a comfortable temperature level and caused us both to have very poor sleep. This was raised after the second night with reception however there was no improvement. a. This type of AC is always noisy, and I noted this is not an inverter type, a new split inverter AC would pay for itself in 6 months! b. The location of the AC is wrong, tucked away in a corner. One of the most frequent design misunderstandings is air flow is more important than temperature. The best location for the AC is opposite the bed in any bedroom Unfortunately, I have only just now looked at various reviews online, and the above seems to be a recurring issue since the hotel was rebranded under the “Henry” name, and these 2 issues are not acceptable and consistence with the level and price point the hotel is trying to portray. They seem to have gone for looks with a freshly painted “Henry brand” colour scheme and interior design, but not looked at basic hotelier fundamentals. The fact this was also my wife’s 40th birthday made the issues doubly disappointing. Other items, starting with the good Pros: • Well-kept gardens • Friendly and professional reception & restaurant staff • Modern electronic safe • Quiet location • Food was good standard and okay price Cons: • I sent the hotel an email 4 days before arrival asking if it was possible to arrange a bouquet of flowers – no response • No in room fridge • Housekeeping never visited the room during our whole stay, late afternoon each day we visited reception to get what we needed • Swimming pool is small and with only 3 sunbeds • Beautiful looking beach, but is not soft but sharp sand which is impossible to walk across in bare feet • They messed up the bill and undercharged us on checkout and contacted us when we were already well away from the hotel, had to settle the balance by private GCash • No TV (I understand before the rebranding to “Henry” there were flat screen TVs). Whilst this didn’t really concern us. I would expect guests with children during the likely long period of rain this time of year would find it an issue • The restaurant ran out of SMB (despite shop over the road selling by the crate) and red wine Considering everything, obviously we would not consider staying at the hotel again, and considering the root causes, we would be unlikely to consider the “Henry” brand for any future needs.
