We had such a fantastic experience at this hotel. The location is perfect, on a pedestrianised gorgeous cobbled street in the centre of the town, but super quiet and the inner courtyard and terrace are stunning and an oasis of calm. The room was beautiful, and you don’t miss having a restaurant at all as there are so many amazing restaurants in the town and the breakfast is superb. The staff could not have been more helpful in terms of arranging cars and in room spa treatments. I would not stay anywhere else if I were to come back to SMA, it was a real highlight of the trip.

La Valise is amazing! The service is unlike any other - the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. There are only a few rooms on the property, so the staff get to know you quickly. We loved the hotel amenities. The hotel breakfast was surprisingly good, top-tier authentic food. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail is felt around the entire property. Overall, I can’t say enough good things! If we come back to SMA, we would definitely choose La Valise again.

My husband and I stayed three nights and we had a fantastic stay. The hotel staff is so kind and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location. The bed is really comfortable. The room was spacious and we loved the shower area. Breakfast had plenty of options. It’s quiet and peaceful. The only thing I could think of which is very minor, I would suggesting adding slippers to the room since there are robes and the special shower area. We had to transfer to a different hotel for two nights because La Valise did not have the full availability we needed. I can already tell the rosewood is inferior to La Valise. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here this past weekend for a wedding and it was the best hotel experience I have ever had in a hotel. The hotel staff was very nice and attentive. Each room had its own unique personality and I wish I could have stayed in all of them. The hotel is close to the center square and walkable to many restaurants and shops. Can’t wait to return.

Es un lugar encantador, ya me he hospedado en dos de sus habitaciones en épocas diferentes y he quedado fascinada, cada habitación tiene una decoración diferente, se merecen más que cinco estrellas, súper recomendado. Además estar allí es como sentirse en una película Romana.

I stayed at La Valise as part of a language immersion with Fluenz. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The building is lovely, the staff is incredibly helpful, the central location is convenient. San Miguel is a magical romantic destination and La Valise is very beautiful, but all the unromantic details are equally well taken care of - wifi, laundry, transportation. I plan on returning.

This small luxury hotel is such a gem in the middle of the most enchanting city in Mexico. The staff is extremely helpful, professional, friendly, accomodating, and became my friends throughout the visit. The rooms are exquisitely designed and are all different. It was such a wonderful experience I can't wait to return here.

A delightful hotel in the heart of the old city. Just a block and a half from the Paroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. Comfortable room. #4 has a gigantic bath tub with shower. Wonderful breakfasts in the courtyard. Attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
