Hotel Del Rio

We originally booked our stay at Hotel Del Rio in February of 2020. Once Covid had everything shut down, the hotel graciously let us keep our booking for a future date. We were able to rebook our trip for March of 2021. The owner, Jim, Christine, and Katnie were very accommodating. Communication with them during the pandemic was easy and straight forward. Once we arrived, they greeted us promptly and were very friendly. Having been in such close communication with them over the previous year, it felt like we knew them already and they welcomed us like family. We opted for one of the un-airconditioned, thatch roofed huts. Our room was clean and comfortable. We did also have a small refrigerator that we used mostly for our bottled water that we bough daily. They do have air conditioned units available, also units with kitchenettes if that is what you are looking for. Even though we didn't have A/C, with the windows open, we got the nice ocean breeze and were never too warm while sleeping. The main palapa in the courtyard became our favorite place to sit and relax. We ate most of our meals there at the table. We loved that there are several local ”delis” just behind the hotel. The restaurants on the beach were great, but we liked the little hole in the wall places that the locals eat at. And they were much cheaper! The hotel has an amazing view of the ocean, from just about anywhere on the property. There is also easy access to the beach and swimming just across the street. Along with a dock overlooking the Caribbean with two Adirondack chairs at the end for enjoying the views. I would highly recommend Hotel Del Rio for anyone going to San Pedro. They are one of the few more authentic Belizean style hotels, and they will make your stay enjoyable! We can't wait to go back!!
Seven Seas Resort Adults Only

The rooms are big, mine had a kitchen and everything, coffee maker in room. Beds comfortable. Room and bathroom acceptably clean. The air-conditioning didn't cool the room very well as it was a big room and only a small unit. The only problem I had was that I was on the island on a day when there was a planned power outage and no one at the hotel informed me of this so I woke up in a hot room, no flushing toilet, no way of getting cash out and worst of all no WiFi which I needed as I had no local sim, therefore no mobile signal and no way of contacting anyone or organising anything at all. If I had been informed I could have gone to an atm the day before and done all of my organising of tours and transport. Other than that, they were lovely.
Mayan Princess Hotel

I can't say enough about the staff, they were ALL exceptional. From Security to the front desk, to Management, and housekeeping, I had a great experience with all. Friendly and service driven, they all made us feel welcome and appreciated. I had an injury (off site) and the Manager drove me to the new 24-hour hospital at 11:00pm, made sure I was checked in, and returned three and a half hours later to pick me up. The rooms were nicely laid out and clean. fantastic balcony with great view. I chose the second floor for the view. We felt like we received VIP treatment for a fair price. Highly recommended when staying in San Pedro, Belize.
The Palms Oceanfront Suites

Last time we visited San Pedro, we stayed at Ramon’s Village Resort. We loved it! During this next visit, we chose The Palms Oceanfront Suites. We loved it too! It’s right next door to Ramon’s and we were able to walk next door and eat at one of our favorite restaurants in San Pedro—Pineapples. The location is close to two great ice cream shops and several great restaurants! We loved the room at The Palms and will return! They picked us up when we arrived on the island, via Tropic Air! The took us back upon our return! The room was clean and housekeeping was very attentive each day! We especially appreciated Sandra! The grounds are keep clean and they rack the sand throughout the day! They provide your first bottle of filtered water and we were able to buy another when we used all of it! The pool was inviting and clean! The best part was our well-furnished patio (we were on the ground level). We loved our mornings and evenings lounging at the patio table and sun loungers! They will put up a hammock by request! This was well-used and enjoyed! The views were beautiful! It’s a quiet place to stay!! The only negative is… the television remotes are a little difficult to maneuver. Alberto came over and helped give us another tutorial. By the time it was for us to leave, we had it. Ha! We will return to The Palms!!
