Alpine Hotel Gran Foda'

Despite its excellent location, our stay at this hotel was a bitter disappointment. On the last few meters of our 700 km long journey, we had a car accident due to the hotel's driveway being insufficiently cleared and gritted - and we have a four-wheel drive! The manager had previously instructed us to park right in front of the entrance, without mentioning that this was the steepest and most poorly cleared part of the complex. Despite the fresh snow, which of course requires special precautionary measures, especially with multiple arrivals that day, the safety of the guests was obviously not guaranteed. Our vehicle slid uncontrollably down the slope and was only stopped by another car, a mishap that we learned also happened to other guests. The breakfast offering was average: baked rolls, juice from a canister, although the cheese was of good quality. The departure was just as problematic as the arrival; When we pulled out of the parking space we slipped again. A hotel employee offered to help, but was not very confident and the so-called manager even refused us grit, saying he only had salt, which wasn't helpful on ice. A lengthy discussion led to no result. To our surprise, everything from the driveway to the public road was cleared properly - in stark contrast to the conditions on the hotel grounds, which obviously do not have the necessary equipment for clearing snow. This stay was not only disappointing but also highly risky due to the hotel's negligence regarding security. I can only strongly advise against staying overnight here.

The hotel is still very nice, but after the change of ownership it has now lost us as regular guests after a few years. Loveless breakfast with hardly any choice, dinner cold almost every evening. Staff overwhelmed, hotel management does not respond to normal customer requests and is very inflexible. Example: There is no Aperol because the hotel manager finds the drink unhealthy...you can't order scrambled eggs with herbs because there are none?! You couldn't order beer because there wasn't any left. When asked whether one could perhaps listen to music other than 6 days of constant jazz, the answer was that it was not possible, that was part of the hotel concept. There were 9 of us in total, this was the last time. We are more than disappointed

Das Hotel besticht durch eine beeindruckende Lage mit herrlichem Blick auf das grandiose Dolomitenpanorama. So sind wir morgens in unserem schönen Zimmer mit Ausblick und großem Balkon aufgewacht. Wir haben eine herrliche Woche in der Sonne Südtirols verbracht. Bereits der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Da wir staubedingt etwas Verspätung hatten, hat uns ein freundlicher Mitarbeiter im Auto angerufen und die Ankunft erfragt. So blieb die Küche etwas länger geöffnet und wir bekamen nach dem Anfahrtsstress noch ein schönes Abendessen. Ein guter Start. Insgesamt können wir die Erfahrungen anderer Reisender nicht bestätigen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, abwechslungsreich und unsere Wünsche wurden vom sehr freundlichen Team rasch erfüllt. Vielleicht musste sich nach dem Besitzerwechsel in der Küche erst alles einspielen. Allein die Weinkarte und die Weinvorräte könnten ergänzt/ aufgefüllt werden, aber wir haben trotzdem stets einen leckeren Wein gefunden. Toll ist die für ein 3-Sterne-Hotel ungewöhnlich schöne Ausstattung des Hotels mit viel Holz, extremer Sauberkeit und auch die Zimmergröße war sehr angenehm. Prima ist die herrliche Panoramaterrasse, wo nachmittags leckere Drinks und Kuchen ( dieser kostenlos) angeboten wurden. Zum Skifahren ist es optimal. Direkt vom Skiraum auf die Piste. Mittags konnten wir rasch von Ski auf Snowboard wechseln. Perfekt! Alles in allem eine herrliche Skiwoche. Danke an das gesamte Team !

Very welcoming hotel, magnificent view! The best in the area as a hotel, courtesy and availability from the first moment you enter, top team! Excellent location for skiers who love the mountains. Excellent food quality! I recommend it!

Soggiorno di 6 notti in ½ pensione, ci siamo trovati benissimo sotto tutti i punti di vista: cibo (top!), pulizia, cordialità, tranquillità del posto. Hotel curato e moderno immerso nella natura, a 1.780mt s.l.m. con un panorama eccezionale che ripaga della strada tortuosa per arrivarci. La camera, arredata in legno, era pulita con un’ampia finestra che affaccia sul bosco; relax e silenzio sempre presenti hanno favorito delle grandi dormite! Cibo TOP con tanto di complimenti al cuoco: piatti diversi ogni sera, originali e di qualità.. il toccasana di ogni fine giornata. Anche la colazione era ottima e abbondante, sia dolce che salata.

Un posto davvero stupendo. Non avevo ma dormito così in alto. Paesaggio mozzafiato. Camera confort capiente è strategica la divisione del bagno con al centro in lavabo e due ambienti separati water e bidet da un lato e doccia dall’altro. Personale disponibile e professionale. Cucina ottima e particolare. Lo consiglio assolutamente.

Location ideale per chi ama la tranquillità. Struttura moderna arredata con gusto. Cucina di alto livello e personale attento e cordiale. Pulizia eccellente. Tutto molto al di sopra di ciò che si possa attendere da un tre stelle. Complimenti a Cristina...hotel da provare, consigliatissimo!!!!

Posto molto bello e gestito altrettanto bene, camera bella,pulita con un materasso fantastico il tutto nel più assoluto silenzio.Complimenti al cuoco che ogni sera ci ha deliziato con piatti davvero deliziosi.Straconsiliato
