Good location, convenient for travel

Very central location by the harbor. Simple breakfast consisting of toast, 6 different sweet spreads and bananas.

Excellent, clean, cheap hostel in the very center of the city. Nearby are restaurants, a supermarket and the embankment. There is always coffee and tea. Designer interior :)

So far the best thing I've visited in Borneo. To begin with, the fact that it has a women-only room seems like a plus to me, the air conditioning in this room was perfect. The girls at the reception were super friendly at all times. The place is very clean, I even saw them cleaning the bathrooms several times. It has a shower separate from the toilet, which is not found everywhere and I think it is the most practical of all, so the toilet is not wet all the time. Breakfast is good, toast, butter, various flavors of jams, chocolate, peanut butter, fruit and eggs. Everything is self service but it is very good. The well-equipped kitchen was the only bad thing, the sink is at the other end, a little difficult to strain some pasta for example, but for a few days it is fine, and the water pressure of the sink was not good so it takes a long time to wash what you use . And my bed didn't have a plug nearby, but others I saw did have one, I was just unlucky. There are small lockers, for valuable things, you have to have your own lock, which is actually something I prefer.

The hostel is a classic backpacker hostel, rooms are absolutely OK for the price (tip: book rooms with a sea view, as better rooms). Bathroom simple but clean. Roof terrace and common areas could be a bit more inviting. The location in the city center is very central (although the city center is not really nice). Breakfast basic but appropriate for the price.

I was eaten by bed bugs all night and couldn't sleep. After laying down the yoga mat and removing the pillow, I was able to fall asleep. It was very noisy outside, which also made it difficult to sleep. The hosts are very hospitable, but there are problems with cleanliness 😔
