Hotel Kilbourne

So, to begin, let me say that a plus side, the room does look nice. You would think you will have a great stay. HOWEVER…. First off, parking is trash. They have very little parking in the front, side parking and back parking is always full because of the bar. Speaking of the bar, it’s literally right below the bedrooms. Music is playing till 2am, and I mean playing loud. They do however provide ear plugs so that’s sweet of the (Sarcastic Voice) The pictures that you see, some are accurate and some are not. I approached the front desk and he (Some dude with a goatee) confirmed the pictures haven’t been updated. Oh and wait till you look at the cart they have to load your bags…I’m surprised I didn’t get tetanus.😂 Here’s the kicker! I paid full price over $800 for three days through *******. I knew what I was paying so that didn’t shock me. What did shock me was that Hotel Kilbourne literally tried to charge me another $800 after I was back home. Then they tried to blame it on ******* but it shows through Capital One that it definitely was the hotel. Luckily Capital One has my back and is disputing the charges. Moral of this story, pay attention to the 1 stars on these reviews. This place may look nice and even somewhat feel nice when you walk in but I assure you, you’re going to have a very bad experience with this place. Just find a cheap hotel somewhere cause you will more than likely enjoy that than Hotel Kilbourne.

Great view, beautiful room. Would stay again!

Super nice room, extremely clean, staff were amazing. Only issue was the loud bar music until about 12:45am. We had Room 24 with the 2 king beds.

Very nice property and interesting area

We stayed two nights with two elementary aged kids. This hotel is not full of wild kid-centered activities (like a Kalahari). Instead, we played chess, ate at Oh Taco, and enjoyed the local shops and sites. The staff made us all feel welcomed. We spent a lot of time in the room because of poor weather. We were comfortable, cozy, and enjoyed our stay.

What a great little place to stay, very hip and cool vibe throughout! Oh Taco is amazing as well, highly reccomend!

Lake view, walking distance to bars and resteraunts

One of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed in! I highly recommend. It was beautiful. Beds were cozy. Pillows were awesome. Views were more than I expected. Not to mention this facility is in the best location, walkable village style/small downtown with restaurants and shops galore. The staff was super friendly and the Taco restaurant was not only convenient but so tasty! I wish every hotel I stayed in was as perfect.

The negative: My gf and I stayed in the room that was inconveniently located right above Oh Taco on a Saturday night. The music was loud and the earplugs they provide in the room (for obvious reason) did NOT help. I ended up having to go down at 1am to ask when they're closing. Otherwise, the room was nice and the location is great.
