Hyatt House Salt Lake City/Sandy

Great layout for families. Area is nice. The beds are pretty hard, and pillows are flat and very small.

The water pressure in the shower was low. It was right next to the freeway so it was noisy. The coffee pots and hot water in the lobby were all empty. They didn’t keep it up later in the day the shuttle transportation was excellent. All employees were excellent. The parking lot was a little cramped The continental breakfast was good.

Our experience at the Hyatt was excellent!

I called down to the front desk for blankets for the pull out couch bed and she said she didn’t have any, at all. The room didn’t come with blankets for the couch bed so we slept with no blankets and u helpful staff.

The staff was excellent, friendly and they went out of their way to help us. The beds were comfy, bed room was dark and quiet despite being near the freeway. The room temperature was easy to control. The pool was clean and warm. You will want to bring some tip money to the complimentary breakfast because the gal that makes the omelets does a fantastic job. My only complaints is that one of the pool gates are fickle in unlocking. They need a sign pointing to the other gate. The cleanliness could use some focus. The room was clean but there were some spots on the walls that could use some TLC. We would stay at this location again, it’s close to everything including Hale theater.

Hector was very rude to our group. Asking us to leave the lounge area when NO ONE was there, while he sat on his phone at a table while he was "working". We travel there every summer with 10 families and will never go back. Hyatt employees sure need to learn the definition of customer service and how to speak to customers. Rude and disrespecrful!

We are longtime Hyatt members and this was an excellent value. Well staffed, clean, and friendly and helpful staff. Every person we interacted with greeted us with a smile (special shout out to housekeeping and maintenance!). The manager rode the elevator with my husband and asked about our experience and seemed sincerely interested in his response. Rooms were clean, spacious (full sized fridge!), and homey. We stayed for 4 nights and could have easily stayed longer. Dogs are allowed but we never heard one and rarely saw them. The carpets could use a replacement and the rooms are a little dated. The breakfast was fantastic and a step above other Hyatts. They offer an omelette station and they were restaurant quality and very tasty. Nice selection of other items, too, including 4 cereals and an oatmeal bar with toppings. Fresh fruit and bacon or sausage as well as yogurt bar and toast and bagels. We also appreciated the fresh fruit infused ice water that was available all day. The pool area looked nice and if I can see this being a nice staycation if you have kids and live in the area. Great location, too. Close to the highways, next to a mall, and close to grocery stores (Trader Joe’s 5 minutes away) and restaurants (like Vessel Kitchen which serves delicious and healthy food and Shake Shack which is not so healthy but equally delicious 😊). Nice job all around. Great value, too, This is our top choice when we’re in this part of the state.

This is an amazing hotel. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, breakfast is great. I would definitely recommend staying here. It's one of the best hotels I have visited.
