Santa Barbara County Hotels with Pools

The resort was beautiful, the room was comfortable and clean. We brought our golden retriever and it was a very pleasant stay for him as well. The location is close enough to the shops and restaurants of State St. but far enough away to be peaceful and not too crowded. My only complaint is the food. We ate at all of the different restaurants and each time we were so disappointed by the quality of the food and the prices were astronomical. I don't mind paying a lot for good food, but this food was worse than what I make at home and I am not a good cook! My daughter ordered the lobster roll at The Set and it was terrible. $30 down the drain. We had breakfast at The Roundhouse and the avocado toast was beyond bland. Then we tried lunch at the Terraza del Mar - I got a chicken Cesar salad and my daughter got a poke bowl. The salad was cole slaw mix and chicken, that was it. Her poke bowl didn't have the rice that it was supposed to have and was horrible, she couldn't have more than a couple bites. I would stay at the resort again, but would never eat at any of their restaurants again. Better to Doordash or eat off property.

The staff was outstanding and courteous. Hot, delicious breakfast provided each morning. Coffee and water available 24 hours a day. Very clean and well maintained. Easily accessible from interstate and close to most things in town.

The one good thing about this hotel/motel was Julie who managed the front desk. She was helpful and cheerful. If not for her I would give this a zero. We came up to Solvang to get away for a few days and had looked at some of the reviews on this property and thought we would give it a try. First impression is that the outside looks nice and centrally located in Solvang. They also provide you with a continental breakfast across the street at Olsen’s bakery, it is very good. Now the bad. There is construction being done on one of the units in the front which was basically just across from where we stayed and it was a constant noise from 8 o’clock in the morning until 5 PM. This was not indicated when we were doing the reservation. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is no larger then a broom closet. we honestly could’ve put up with that but for the fact that the room smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long while…so I kept the window or door open all the time to get fresh air. The water took 10 minutes to heat up in both shower and sink. Now for the bed…get new mattresses before someone sues you for an injury, yes that bad. I really wish I could have given them a better review but I’m way too old to lie about these things. Unless they redo the rooms, Find yourself another property to stay at. I can’t speak to the quality of the cottages, so that may ne their saving grace.

We had tree shaded premium site for 7 nights. Nice. But closely packed. Quiet at night huge Rv place. When I had problem or questions I had to text ivy. AI maybe. Sends several event messages each day but responded to only half my requests. Communication hard after hours. Ivy most of time does not respond. Laundry under third party management tried to use machines took quarters but not working. Told to call number posted in laundry which of course won’t help at the time and if machines not working why does flying flags not care about laundry facility? We have disabled child and laundry a daily issue. we have stayed at their other locations had same communication problems.

The hotel is expensive, but the room is not big, there is no bathtub and no view of the sea. Most of the money is paid in this location and exquisite decoration. Hotel parking is also expensive, and there is no free service, so the 7, 8, 8 nights of hotels are really not cost-effective. Of course, it is also a bit historical and design. It is indeed a lot of rich people to live, but if you want to really enjoy the feeling of rich people, it is best to book a room for more than one night, otherwise you will regret the money throwing in the water like me. Don't say that I didn't see the world in poor and sour, I moved out and lived in downtown Santa Barbara, LA and other places, no comparison and no harm. Buellton is almost a crossroads only, leading to Solvang a more popular tourist destination. But a Marriott is there with a very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was a standard Marriott room with a small bathroom, two queen size beds and a nice view. It. Was clean and comfortable. Dining opportunities there were limited but we were given good advice by the desk clerk as to other opportunities in the area. Breakfast was plentiful with many options.

Hotel location is good, 2 swimming pools. Breakfast is a simple continental breakfast. There is no problem with full food. The hotel is conveniently located with a boulevard that leads directly to the beach. There are many shops along the way, open to the beach and there are night markets selling a variety of vegetables and fruits, all very fresh. In particular, there is a 99-cent supermarket, which is cheaper to buy daily necessities and foods, vegetables and fruits, and buys a lot of things for more than a dozen dollars. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and bright. The breakfast was complete with bread, cereal, milk, coffee, bacon, fruit and yogurt. I had a great time. The hotel is right on the beach, with the blue sea and white sandy beaches visible. Walk ten minutes along the seaside to the pier. There are several seafood restaurants. The delicacies made with fresh crabs and lobster shells are wide and of good quality, absolutely delicious. Moreover, the hotel is not far from the Grand Court, and there are buses passing through the door, which is very convenient. The hotel also has a heated swimming pool, but we didn't go swimming due to lack of time.

The hotel looks very well maintained. My room had a sofa and desk along with the king size bed. Big room for a hotel. The bathroom and sink area are alittle small, but very modern and tiled. The shower was excellent. The pool and jucuzzi were crystal clear and clean. Pretty big pool with a deep end of 8 ft. The location is about 8 minute drive to downtown, but there are several restaurants within walking distance. The area seems nice, don’t let the closed hotel next door scare you away.
