Best Western Plus Santa Barbara Reviews

The hotel itself is very different in the way it blends in with the neighborhood, pretty nice in style and not what I was expecting for a Best Western. The hotel isn’t too far from the city center but also not close enough (which is why I gave a 4), but it is very very nice. I also gave a 4 for amenities only because I wasn’t able to use them as it was less than 24 hour stay, and I wanted to experience the city more. Overall, I did like it, comfortable bed and pillows and I believe I could have slept much longer if I didn’t have an 11am check out 🤦🏽♂️🤣. But overall I was satisfied and the staff both office and cleaning were very kind and helpful. ❤️ Santa Barbara is a very beautiful city and BW gave the right price for my stay. 👍🏽

It was fantastic! Nice guest service and a quiet and cozy place. The TV was big and the bathtub was great. Would stay here later if coming to SB again.

Nice, clean hotel right by medical complexes with convenient bus connections to North State and Downtown. Café serves decent-priced fare.

Very nice hotel, the room is on the first floor, very clean, but someone will come in the morning to tell you that it is not good to check out. The swimming pool is small but nice.

It's a bit far from the pier, but it's quieter. There's a 7-eleven convenience store nearby. Of course, you still have to drive there. The room given to us is at the junction of two buildings with different foundations, that is to say...the floor of the room is a bit sloping...a motel No breakfast. The hotel has a gym and a laundry room, and it also has its own restaurant. In the afternoon, I had a cup of coffee and sunbathed in the swimming pool. After discovering 7-eleven, I changed my dinner to instant noodles, fried chicken and sushi😄

Comfortable resort hotel with free parking.

The property is very old and outdated but surprisingly exceptionally clean(except the carpet). Parking is sparse, just one spot per unit(not dedicated) so stay parked! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel(motel really) is 7-9min drive to State Street shops and Wharf. So not really very close. The on site restaurant is very popular with locals/regulars so I think that says something. Your breakfast is not included like a typical Best Western, just a note!

Very nice place to stay with outdoor patio area off glass slider and a nice restaurant on site. It is situated next to a medical complex on one side and a residential area on the other side. It's a couple of blocks to State St, but not near any attractions, shops, bars, restaurants so you have to drive to everything.

Quiet, Comfortable and clean, location was more residential. Not much in walking distance. The gym wasn’t much of a gym only had machines for cardio. On-site restaurant wasn’t open for dinner on the weekend. It’s a great hotel just depends what your needs are.

The property is well located, the staff was courteous and friendly, and the room was very clean and well-designed.

Prior to arrival we reconfirmed our reservation for a 2nd floor dbl queen. When we arrived they said we received a free upgrade to a full suite on the ground floor. The ground suite unit was at the very back of the property, was dark, and had little natural light as it was under a stairway. And further, we didnt ask for an upgrade. Before going to the room, we were told this suite was much better than any of the double queens they puld offer. After complaining when we got to the room, we were relocated to a double queen on the 3rd floor of back building, which was quite nice. My thought was, why was this upgrade done when our request for a second floor dbl queen had been confirmed AND the room we would want was actually available? Was it because we were an ******* reservation? Also, the place wakes up early....housekeeping outside our door before 8am, people doing tile work, and a guy drilling loudly at property next door. The property is cute overall, the restaurant is okay, and service other than front desk was good. But note the hotel is not near other amenities without having a car. Also, note that if you are a BW member, if you make your reservation thru ******* you don't receive points.

We spent 4 days here with our extended family. Had 3 different rooms, which were spacious and comfy - ours had a small kitchen and table. The pool and hot tub are perfect for kids, who even swam in cool, gray March weather. The Oak Tree Café has great breakfasts and very fast service. This was our second stay, and we'll be back.
