We've stayed for three night in the Hotel. The bungalow was simple but clean. The staff was nice. We'd twice dinner in the restaurant. They had one menu, which was delicous. The most impressive was the landscape with the vulcano and the lava flows.

As others said, the rooms can get hot as they are still heated by the lava under it... but this is the nicest place in town and the most relaxed stay you'll have anywhere... and they will arrange anything you need. Guide, transport, mountain bikes, breakfast crazy early in the morning... make sure you book a guide to go up the volcano, going alone is crazy as you'll end up going the wrong way and be a danger to yourself and others.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans trois funku, et en garderons un souvenir impérissable. Confort très sommaire, mais nous le savions, et l’essentiel est ailleurs. L’atmosphère dans la caldeira est incroyable, et la vue sur le volcan, depuis les terrasses en roof top, est fascinante. Nous sommes tombés sous le charme. Le personnel est très sympa et aidant. Nous nous sommes régalés avec les dîners, merci encore à l’équipe de cuisine. Les petits déjeuners sont très copieux et variés, et non négligeable, servis à 5h45 avant d’attaquer l’ascension du Pico de Fogo. Nos pique-nique étaient prêts également. Organisation parfaite. Magnifique jardin, calme, avec le wifi disponible . ( pas dans les funku) . L’ascension du Pico de Fogo peut sembler difficile, tout dépend du niveau , mais nécessite une bonne condition physique. Le D+ est important. Les guides sont au top, parlent parfaitement français et connaissent parfaitement toute l’histoire du volcan et de la caldeira. L’ascension, beaucoup moins difficile, du Pico Pequeno est très très chouette aussi. Merci à toute l’équipe, et à notre guide Pirinha. Prenez soin de vous et de votre fabuleux environnement. Nous espérons de tout coeur pouvoir revenir, un peu plus longtemps, beaucoup de choses à découvrir, encore.

Une belle découverte dans un endroit insolite. Il faut absolument y aller si vous visitez le Cap Vert. Le personnel au top et à l’écoute. La cuisine est bonne et le vin local excellent, personnellement j’ai apprécié le blanc. Si vous souhaitez vous reposer et entendre du silence, c’est l’endroit idéal.

Something like I've never seen before, a hotel restaurant camp built down from the volcano that erupted 10 years ago. Round huts made with volcanic rock delightfully put together with rooftop terraces. Be careful as mine was on a lava bed that was still steaming 10 years later, very warm. Marisa is a great host and makes you feel at home. Good service, good food, great ambiance. A must to stay if you're passing through Fogo.

Excellent place to stay with reasonable rooms, hot water, very rich home-made food, all necessary information about the mountains, and all this at an affordable price! Finally, the owner is an experienced climber, and the staff is both friendly and caring.

Au cœur de la Caldeira, un bel hôtel autour d'un superbe jardin et une belle vue sur le volcan. Accueil un peu froid mais de bons conseils pour s'organiser. Chambre dans une des maisons traditionnelles, le confort est rudimentaire mais on sait qu'on ne vient pas ici pour le grand luxe. Le plaisir est ailleurs, avec des activités ou des randonnées organisées pour s'occuper. Il fait chaud la nuit, la lave du sol restitue la chaleur accumulée. Pour les randonnées qui partent à 6 heures, un petit déjeuner est servi à 5h30 et permet de bien commencer la journée pour partir à l'assaut du volcan. Le repas du soir est très bon et copieux. A 10 minutes à pied du village où le soir, il n'y a rien d'ouvert. Chacun reste chez soi ou dans sa pension.

All around 5 stars. Marisa and Mustafa have done a amazing job with this property. Most amazing mountain and volcano views in the day and the brightest night sky I have ever seen. This is my 3rd time here and I indulge on any and all food while here. I have to say this was my favorite meal yet. We had the option of chicken or spaghetti for dinner. We both got chicken. 5 out of 5. Staff was extremely accommodating and tried there best to make us have that relaxed resort feel. Thank you Marisa and Mustafa for making this piece of Cha like a slice of heaven.
